Latest game was, not to be disrespectful, but the worst player I have ever played on HoF. At least 50 very early or very late swings and had absolutely no clue at the plate. Never had so many lineouts, weak contact w good pci, and foul ball homers ever. Can just feel the game taking control. At least it was finally the game that pushed me to delete MLB!

JJ is back! Nice to see you on here!
I'm here in spirit form, but I'll always be around. Catch my stream sometime, there quite something to kill some quarantine time
@Halfberry said in if you players are not happy with the game play for MLB 20 the show:
Playing Hof offline I was getting a lot of perfect hits with the ball just inside the circle. Now you don't get it at all unless you are perfect center circle. Makes sense but it hurts gameplay. I think as long as you can find the ball in he circle should be rewarded because I don't like seeing hits where the ball is out of the zone or barely touching the pci
Thats not true u just gotta take pitches more, aim n earn it

I'll give it to you guys who use zone hitting and have figured it out. Im terrible and just can't quite get it.
I've tried everything and nothing seems to work. Been doing zone about a year and still stuck doing the same old [censored]. I wish I could see a video of somebody who was terrible and improved significantly and how they did it. Watching the youtubers is fine but they are good so that doesn't translate to me, since I suck and can't seem to get better.
Try practicing on LEGEND. It's really the only way. The PCI is tiny and you catch up to the speed of the game. Hitting is about timing like in RL. (After this, hitting will slow down in other difficulties.)
Another thing that has helped me a lot: like a hitter in RL, accept the holes in your swing. I can't hit same-side high and tight stuff, so I lay off. Inside on same/same match ups are off limits and I crush everything middle/away.
Lastly, do not, under any circumstance unless it is a meatball to a good hitter, swing at the first pitch. The math is waaayyy in the favor of the pitcher on the first pitch unless you have the "teacup" and , even then, just be patient. Counts factor in heavily to the outcomes in this game.
One guy finally gets it Pitchers confidence determines every outcome🤨

I'm pretty sure during the developer streams pre-release they said that outcome was a homerun. Well I just proved them wrong. New Future Stars Kirilloff versus Reyes from previous years in event at the Metrodome and it was a 101 warning track shot. How does that work?
Show a link to a video where they said that? Or try utilizing all 3 buttons then just pressing X or Square or just stop being a hr crackhead🤨
Talk about toxic. Everyone else on here is agreeing and you are here to call me a crackhead? What is your issue dude? You say to use all 3 buttons? Circle rarely results in a hit and I only use it when trying to not strike out. I rarely use Square cause I'm obviously not good enough at hitting that I can reduce my contact area and good contact area by power swinging. I have been playing baseball games for [censored] near 30 years, I don't need your [censored] opinion, if you care to read a thread you can see that I was venting frustration at my lack of hitting ability. Try to not be an absolute [censored] just because you are online and no one knows you. Be a decent human being, which I know is hard for some people, but just try.
Your right @mobes83 but wrong that no one knows me, everyone knows me

Getting out to a 4-1 lead only for the other guy to all of a sudden start hitting. Then an error by my catcher on a routine throw that pulls my 1st baseman off the bag. Then a 3 run bomb. ( He had 2 HR's. one that was a good / okay with a 91 mph exit velo. the other one was an 8 / 11 PCI rating. ) Then bloop base hit with his pitcher.
I'm just tired of it. I'm done trying to defend this dumpster fire. I will still play but it is quite obvious to me that SDS doesn't want to make an actual competitive game. Of course it is good business. But I am completely now 100% on the side of RNG and I will not be convinced otherwise.
^jesus u kids complain too much
The game rewarded your opponent cause your pitcher was rattled of how u were "pitching". Just quit tie games like me so at least u hold your "dicknigty" aka ego in check🤨
First, not a kid. Second, aren't you that racist ?
Also, my pitcher wasn't " rattled" in the 3rd inning. I'm guessing my opponent who was flailing at pitches all over the zone must've just been watching youtube videos on how to hit the first two innings and got it down pat for the 3rd.
Sorry I dont listen to ignorance
Ok bud. So yes then
Oh I get it were doing the who gets the last word thing right? Ok I'll end this idiotic conversation with "get better, not lucky"

@aarondmsu6568 said in Cannot pull the ball for the life of me:
I hit using pure analog and it seems like no matter what I do, I cannot hit the ball to the pull field. Maybe one out of 20 or 30 of my balls in play go to the pull side. About 5 out of 20 go to center but the vast majority go to the opposite side. I do admit that even with the fastball pitch speed at 5 and offspeed pitch speeds lower than that, I find it almost impossible to have early swing timing (but I dont like them that low because I almost never strikeout, which is unrealistic). I trust that is probably the most important factor in which field the ball goes to, but is there something else that I should be doing? I'd like this game to play as realistically as possible and having 75% or more of batted balls going to the opposite field is not realistic.
Try getting underneath the ball more to lift it, I know it's hard to consistently get back to back hits especially facing that glitch Kershaw wannabe Kluber but just sit in certain spots n study his pitch analysis of where he pitches. Everyone has a pattern
