Can someone please cover 3rd when my 3rd baseman fields the bunt so people can’t go first to 3rd?
Can my pitcher stop running to first after I queue him to throw home cause people want to go 2nd to home on a bunt? If not can the pitcher at least not sit around and high five himself for touching the bag as the runners heading home?
Not a programmer but is it that hard to have the AI know the basics of baseball when making a baseball game?
Even if he did, his point is still valid.
New screen is great and provides a lot of information but doesn’t address any issues with hitting. Example played event game placed ball in top 3rd of PCI dead center. Line out to center 31 degree launch angle, it happens oh well. Next better dead center again but in bottom 3rd of PCI this time, result 31 degree launch angle line out to center. My understanding of pci may be off but I thought being in the top 3rd puts you under the ball and being in the bottom 3rd means you got on top of the ball. If this is the case I don’t see how the launch angles are the same. Could be a perfect explanation, I just don’t know it.
I also had a launch angle of 161 and negative 155 on foul balls where my pci was no where close, those should result in a swing and miss. I had no business touching those balls
@andysox_nsw said in People who swing at every pitch should not succeed:
Throwing in the dirt is an option.
It is if you enjoy 15 pitch at bats cause they somehow foul off a pitch bouncing in front of the plate with very early timing 8 out 10 times
And a game of MLB The Show broke out.
Pitchers start conquest tired, one pitch and cpu thinks it is time to pull, unfortunately the reliever you bring in gonna be the same most likely. How conquest is set up. Still good for one inning though, sometimes two
They did fix check swings
It’s all random outcomes but zone gives the user more control to get a better results with all the factors going into determining the out come. It really doesn’t show in results till HOF and Legend IMO.
It had to be done for a fresh start, hopefully some of the players they got pan out.

Agree or disagree?
Disagree, he been dominate for me. Just have to set his off speed up by pounding the fb and tunneling all his pitches.

No, in a pre-launch stream, they specifically referred to these 2 being brought down close to sea level.

According to the card Shippett is 3000 and LM is over 5000. They may have said that in a stream but they say lots of things in stream that are false.
Yes they do

Actually DD players increase the revenue which would give SDS more resources to make a better game.
And you think that's whats happening to Franchise mode?. The core gameplay keeps improving yes, but not many additions to Franchise mode.
I think they are pocketing that revenue instead of putting it towards improving the game. That doesn’t change the fact DD players create revenue which provides SDS more resources to make a better game.

I disagree. I'm actually able to strike out guys online when I throw a curveball or a change up in the dirt. Where as before those pitches were getting fouled off 4-5 times an at bat
Not I, I am still bouncing pitches to the plate just to watch them consistently be fouled off.

No but it does mean foul balls should happen less which is not the case.

They used to communicate very well. I can deal with poor gameplay but the poor communication sucks. I'd bet they do. It might not be until June or July, but I think there will be a patch. I can't guarantee it will fix everything. I also can't guarantee it won't break something else. I can't even guarantee that the patch will fix what its meant to fix to our expectations (since we as a community are impossible to please). But there will be one.

But all i see is constant bashing and i see ALOT of changes that are for the better but those points of views seem to get swept under the rug. So take a step back, remember game has only been out 3 weeks. Teams have only played what 16 games maybe? These guys have always gone out of thier way to bring us things we like. Does it always launch smoothly? No, but i assure they do more to fix and solve issues than any other sports game developer. I quit buying EA products 10 years ago and 2k about same time. But the 1 constant is SDS has always addressed issues the same year or came back next launch and improved it. That is why i have supported them since 2009. And numerous times last year and this year they talked about foundation within the game being improved. And i see the improvements and i personally I am not gonna miss out on what they are coming up with in the future. Because i see potential for SDS setting the standard within the sports gaming industry. And i find that very exciting!!! What leads you to the conclusion they could set the standard in sports games? I see them going the route of the other companies. What improvements have they made from the feed back people provide? As far as I can tell, the game has the same major issues most people lose their minds over year after year. I do think they try but results are lacking. For example the constant bs foul offs. Tony Gwynn you get a pass but every batter to step in the box is not Gwynn. Getting rid of the vision section of the pci would go along way to fixing this issue and that has been brought up for years. High sinkers is another issue they still can’t get right, personally they can leave that. We should all be use to it and ready for it by now. Base running is a complete circus, I will say defense has improved IMO. I get saying we need positive feedback and such but people have provided feedback for years on the major issues with the game. Nothing has change, after awhile you got to learn positive feedback isn’t working. Honestly feedback in general doesn’t seem to work unless it is to add a flag to a stadium. Major issues for the most part are more difficult to address but most of the big ticket items have been there for years. Foul off bs been around for as long as I can remember playing this game, which is from the very start. That issue would be improved 2000% just by removing the outer PCI.
I have seen a lot of changes made in the list you provided and they improve the game. Unfortunately for me I prefer better gameplay over being able to use a created player in COOP and you are more likely to get that before I don’t see 8 foul offs on pitches bouncing off the plate. Foul balls are just one of the issues but is also probably the easiest to address.
