I'm pretty sure during the developer streams pre-release they said that outcome was a homerun. Well I just proved them wrong. New Future Stars Kirilloff versus Reyes from previous years in event at the Metrodome and it was a 101 warning track shot. How does that work?

I believe they stated “Perfect/perfect fly ball” with 80+ power” was a HR. Was it a Fly all or liner?

I remember a stream where they said it should be a HR to pull or center but maybe not always if it’s to the opposite field.

Again even a perfect perfect without the launch angle has and always be an out if the degree isnt right.I have also seen a check HR or 2 in my lifetime ..I ve seen balls that are hit off the end of the bat go over the fence.Think short right field Yankee stadium.. I've seen perfect / perfect sounding and looking like a 420 ft blast die in Death Alley same.Yankee stadium..Part of the game..Perfectly squared up balls with no angle or launch angle get hit hard at fielder's that sometimes catch the ball behind them. 115 MPH screamer at the pitchers head (pitcher stopping with same head sometimes) has to be a perfect perfect and distance to the mound leaves no time to react.. Stream didnt say EVERY Batted Ball that says perfect perfect.Fly balls either..A perfect perfect with Ozzie Smith might not leave the infield even (sarcasm).

That claim was made at launch pre-patch 1.04. It is no longer true.

Okay but p/p with 88 power at the metronome to just right of center with an exit velo over 100. Its just frustrating that i have been so terrible with hitting recently and i finally do what im supposed to and get nothing. But when I'm pitching they can pull an off speed low outside breaking ball 450 feet. Or I'm on my marks for a pitch and it gets hung over the middle of the plate and I lose 1-0. I'm not one to batch and complain but before 1.04 I was 11-2 in RS, and now I can't buy a win.

It was like that until the first patch.

Also wind is huge factor too. I hit a perfect perfect fly in an MTO game had 105 exit velocity to Left center with a power hitter, and it was a warning track shot, wind was blowing in 7mph.

Hey, believe me, I’m sympathetic. It would be great if we had an update to that claim which told us what the chances of a perfect/perfect 80 power fly ball are of leaving the yard now.

    I don’t think we’ll get one.

Definitely not, oh well, I guess no more online games and I will stick to the frustration of the CPU dotting corners on Veteran until I learn to "work the count" to actually be able to hit the ball.

Yeah this isn’t new. Been like this since they patched it 1.04. Not to mention they seem to hit right at guys more often than not on perfect swings as well. I’ve had better results on good good and good ok than perfect swings. If it’s “good squared “ you can almost tally the out off the bat as well.

I pulled sandberg off my squad due to all the warning track shots. And I hit will with him, but if they are gonna be perfect fly ball track shots then I’m trying gleybar or a future star

Show a link to a video where they said that? Or try utilizing all 3 buttons then just pressing X or Square or just stop being a hr crackhead🤨

I do remember them saying that Perfect/Perfect would be very rare and that you would be rewarded at minimum a hit......usually a home run. Turns out the P/P’s aren’t as rare as they said they would be, and many are for outs. Part of why I’ve lost interest along with the fiction cards!

yeah i remember their beta data collection saying 86 percent of the time a perfect perfect results in a hit, id says its closer to 66-70 percent(no data, just assumptions from what ive seen).

Talk about toxic. Everyone else on here is agreeing and you are here to call me a crackhead? What is your issue dude? You say to use all 3 buttons? Circle rarely results in a hit and I only use it when trying to not strike out. I rarely use Square cause I'm obviously not good enough at hitting that I can reduce my contact area and good contact area by power swinging. I have been playing baseball games for [censored] near 30 years, I don't need your [censored] opinion, if you care to read a thread you can see that I was venting frustration at my lack of hitting ability. Try to not be an absolute [censored] just because you are online and no one knows you. Be a decent human being, which I know is hard for some people, but just try.

Why aren’t you answering my question? Was it a p/p fly ball or a liner? I’ve found that many of my P/p feedbacks go for hits (in RS, Events, conquest, Custom League games, MTO and the few v CPU games I’ve played for program completions) and the overwhelming majority of the P/P fly balls have been HRs for me, some P/P liners have gone out but many are “screamers” that get snagged and I’ve also had success on P/P grounders. I’m sure it’s just a run of bad luck.

Hang in there and maybe switch up your players. I’ve noticed that I play much better with some players that aren’t as highly rated as others.

And if you are concerned about toxicity on the forum, try not spouting forth toxicity about the forum (referring to your most recent complaint). Just a tip for later use.

    Cheers!
