I love these videos
"Hey guys today I will show you my tips on how to get through a Showdown. In general what I like to do is skip to the end and then just hit perfect perfect HR's and doubles until I score 16 runs"
Wow man thanks for the advice
I don't agree with many of your posts but i'll always join the fight to call out lame youtube videos.
For the record the content creator in the video is a nice guy, but he's just creating another clickbait video for views. I mean I guess that's the youtube culture.
I don’t see how the title is clickbait when I showed evidence of the method working. I also never mentioned to subscribe to the channel leave a like or anything like that. I don’t create YouTube videos for views. I create them to help other people with the game
-
It becomes clickbait with one simply phrase: "Every time"
Do you offer tips and seem like a genuine guy? Definitely. But this is clickbait brah
Do your thing though

Decided to give this a go. I’ve tried it 5 times and I’m 3-2. My two loses were 15-13 and 15-14 (both times ended on a dp).
My rule of thumb is take til I have 2 strikes for the first two go-rounds of my lineup. Should lower the pitchers energy and confidence (provided you string some hits n runs together)

Is it bad I thought lefty would look like the dude in his moms basement from the WoW episode of South Park
-
I mean, the dude was just trying to put it out there in case no one thought of it.
I don't understand how anyone could have a problem with it.
If you have trouble with the bosses, beating one elimination boss IS easier than beating three.

Alright, fair enough, I probably should not have put easy in the title of this thread. But in all honesty I feel that the mode is fairly easy with the right strategy. I have failed it a few times sure, but I have been able to complete showdown with this method about 30 times now and I know based off the feedback and comments that it has also helped many people out. That was my goal for making the thread and the video, to help others, I'm glad I could help in some way. I always look to keep improving with all of your feedback so thank you, I appreciate it.
Maybe a title like. "Tips for making showdown easier" instead of "Beat Showdown Easy".
You are better than a vast majority of people attempting the mode. I was able to complete it and there is no doubt that these are easier than the first batch of Showdowns. I never even came close on the first batch.
I think people are also more sensitive here because there are a number of users who, whenever someone complains that they are having trouble with a showdown always shows up in the thread talking about how easy it was, basically bragging on themselves while making the original poster feel worse.
I completely understand, and I never meant the thread to come across as me bragging about playing CPU on veteran. I would never brag about beating the CPU or anyone online at all. I just play the video game for fun and for what it is, a video game. Sure, I’ll get some feedback of people mocking me and saying those aren’t true tips. The confidence meter is the biggest factor in this method by far.
No problem man. I actually have no issue with you or the video itself. I just thought the use of the word Easy in the thread title was a little hyperbolic.

I understand the mode is challenging, if you get off to a good start, you can get the pitcher's confidence down. if you wait for enough pitches they will throw it down the middle for easy hits. I wanted to post the video to try and help people.
My only complaint about the thread is the word "Easy" in the title.
Kind of like saying "Beat Dark Souls Easy" and then simply telling people to avoid getting hit by the bosses.
Double post.

Had to run the forest. Time consuming, but major level up.

Dark Souls wasn't easy until I had played at least 3 of them finished.

Oh I’m sorry I didn’t mean to offend his S/o
So, are we to assume you've contributed nothing to better our world? Or is it just throwing out uncreative weak insults that hurt no one but your own self development?
-
College lefty is da bomb and all round good guy, from one teacher to another.
Use your brains. It is easier for him, not for me or you, but you should be able to work out that your on a different level skill wise to him.
He is right about pitcher confidence, though. Get that down and you do get a lot of meatballs.

Other than being a veteran haven’t done too much.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you can get the help you need, I know the VA system isn't perfect, but it's there, so take advantage of it.

I dont think any one intended to flame lefty, I agree that he's always been a great contributor. I think there are a lot of us who do struggle with this mode, even on Veteran, who have been told by good players that this mode is easy, or now "too easy". Not everyone has the same skills. I struggle horribly with PCI placement, even on Rookie. I dont care how many hours I log in this game, I just cant consistently put the PCI on the ball. I am able to win games on Higher levels because I can pitch to stay in a game until I finally come up with runs to win, even on lower difficulties. I can score 10 runs in one inning on Veteran and then go 10 innings without 1 run. So that sort of inconsistency makes a nearly all offensive mode like Showdown beyond frustrating.

The only “easy showdown method” is going to be something that doesn’t help you in the long run in this game. I don’t think anybody wants to make a video about specific speed lineups, bunts, and sac flies. That isn’t ever going to help you beat these and other missions consistently. Just like putting Mission player in the one spot and quitting until you got a double didn’t benefit anything. Quitting event game #26 when you see a Kluber doesn’t help much even though you’ll get to 30 wins quicker.
Taking tips from somebody better like Lefty instead of actively avoiding challenge is worth it when you the game becomes easier, and missions don’t need a “easy route”. It might suck to hear but I used to be pretty terrible at this game and it’s just a lot more fun and beneficial when you try to get better at hitting instead of bunting and base running.

The best advice I have is dont fail blue missions. You need the runs, the perks and the players. But honestly who cant figure that out.
I know with the stage one Showdowns skipping 2nd boss isnt a bad idea, I didnt skip Clevinger today, because I only had 7 runs. They gave me a choice of 4 pitchers, and a crappy perk. I then failed all 3 subsequent blue challenges. So I went into final vs Grienke with the exact same line up, same perks, and same deficit I would have, if I had just skipped. And would have saved at least 30 minutes.
