The future for MLB The show looks bright

Read this let it marinate and let it Digest ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, to broadcast MLB The Show 20 Players League Playoffs and Select Games
I'm looking forward to the future of MLB The Show franchise yes it will be available for Xbox, and PC in 2021 so with that said I believe that this Players League is opening up the possibility for San Diego Studios to add more sponsorship to the game by adding ESPN, and Fox.. yes there will be alot of money to throw around I think it would be well worth it just imagine playing a franchise Mode and when you see the calendar and see games on
-
MLB Network
-
Fox
-
ESPN (Sunday Night Baseball)
If you ask me this Player League is one of the best thing they came up with I would be thrilled to have diffrent commentators from different broadcasts station from ESPN, Fox, and MLB Network this will definitely put MLB The Show on the highest pedestal in the sports game world... yes once again alot of money is involved plus contracts with the commentators but it will definitely make the game feel fresh and new...

Definitely great exposure for SDS. Hopefully it results in a patch that works too.

Has the potential to be a huge embarrassment if they can’t get the game in a good place pretty soon is my thought. Then again, they say bad publicity is better than no publicity at all. I’ve noticed most of the media out there has a pretty positive spin on it all so far, SDS are handily positioned to benefit from the lack of real baseball this season. It could be an opportunity to progress the franchise long term going forwards, if they can negotiate something out of this short term crisis for further down the line.

This is a huge potential for adding new customers. Just because they will have the exposure, doesn't mean it's going to get better. I just think they need to focus on their surging business, which is DD. If they sunk more money into the gameplay first and less into M2O, RTTS, etc., the game will take off. They can always create new things for other modes after they've made gameplay more realistic or less problematic.

Its going to be on PC!!! you know that for a fact?, don't pull my chain casual, where did you read that? If The Show is gonna be on PC then there is no reason at all to get a PS5. I can play The Show on Ultrawide resolution 3440x1440 and mod the hell outta that thing...put RL Ads all over stadiums and stuff.

If they dont fix all the fielding issues by may 5th its going to look a whole hell of a lot bleaker. If they went into a nationally televised event with the current state of fielding they would never recover from the amount of backlash they would face.

Preach.

I highly doubt this game will ever be on PC. The mod community will find a way to manipulate the market and change coaxing during games to force quits and disconnects

Not their choice dude, MLB is calling the shots in this situation. You think Sony wanted to give up exclusivity and allow this on X-Box? There is always gonna be cheaters online, you know noobs would always try to win cause he's not good enough to play fair.

I agree with you don't get me wrong I do play Diamond Dynasty but it doesn't really catch my attention to grab cards after cards after cards and no disrespect the people that play Diamond Dynasty I'm just saying...... yes I agree Diamond Dynasty is the bread and butter how to make money.... but in the last couple of years San Diego Studios have not updated whatsoever on franchise mode and it's way overdue and to be honest with you I think the worst game mode they came out with this year is the custom League I hope that that does not back and they take all that money they use for custom league and put it into franchise mode I'm a huge fan of franchise mode I like to be able to control my team trade, sign players, release player, draft players, I'm just saying if they can be able to add more sponsorship like ESPN, Fox it would give the game a little bit more refreshing us

I hear ya. I use to play the hell out of some franchise. Nothing better than drafting prospects and watching them grow. Hell, building a stadium would be awesome. Since SDS wants people to play DD, why don’t they try to make it their #1 priority? I also don’t get why offline/online gameplay is such a huge difference on HOF/legend settings.

I know that DD is their cash cow but RTTS is the mode that got this game off the ground. To put everything into DD and ignore the other modes would be a very foolish mistake. there are still many people playing RTTS and Franchise. i have seen many times in the business world when a company puts money into the one thing selling now and ignores other parts of the business causes them to lose later on. I know that SDS is on top right now but that can change at any time.

I hope its not on PC. Yeah the game would likely run extremely smooth on a PC but Mouse and keyboard with zone hitting is literal aimbot. IF the game is on PC im hoping for no cross-platform

My god you console noob, why would anyone want to play MLB The Show on PC with mouse and keyboard?, you use a controller. Would you play a Racing Sim with a controller?, No you use a wheel....I feel console people are living in a different world.

Just look at what Madden,Fifa and NBA 2k has become because of ignoring what got them on top and shifting to pay to win and forgetting about core game play, features, logic. 2k just canceled WWE 2k 21 because 2k20 was absolutely horrendous.

What can they do with RTTS that would be a game changer? With franchise, they can add, build a stadium. SDS needs to pour money into gameplay development before someone comes in with better devs and takes away the market shares. Or out bid them for the rights of the players.

You're fine bro he isn’t worried about the casual offliner moding advertisements onto the fences.

Ads on the fences if fine but I'm more concerned about Ultrawide support and proper graphical settings not silly console settings.

I definitely agree with you man like I'm a huge franchise mode player man I'm telling you and in the last couple of years San Diego Studios really didn't put no effort in franchise mode and I was expecting at least big things for franchise mode you know but still nothing just because I can be able to relocate and change my uniform that doesn't do it for me it was good in the beginning when I heard about it but still not enough I don't want to sound ungrateful but is the honest truth don't get me wrong I do play Diamond Dynasty but I'm not going to play against other people online day in and day out to collect cards that's not my style and yes I do play Road to the show but the dialogue is the same thing nothing has changed there's no story like I wish they can be able to break it down and I know that there's a lot of money involved but hopefully like just like 2K NBA they got a storyline behind your character let there be something you know where you make decisions and those decision affect what you do on and off the field I'm just saying I don't want to sound ungrateful but I'm just saying it's the honest truth
