Let me look into this for you. I know we had some weirdness with the API yesterday; I believe it was.

@SDS_JoeK_PSN thank you. it's down for everyone. simply going to the show website under dashboard and looking at boxscores. shows it is down. hoping it's back up asap.

Universal profile website loads up, but can’t get into box scores. And api site is down too still

@xXOctoberNyyXx_XBL yeah i've been checking on the hour. We can't rely on the standings in custom leagues because half the games flake out due to connection/server and custom leagues get routinely deleted without notice. for games that crash out i have to combine two-part games together in separate record keeping. so really hoping this is temporary and not something that has been sac'd for the game to run smoother. @sds_joek_psn

The team is still working on the API stuff. I don't currently have a timeline, but continuing to track.

Yeah, I am having the same issues right before we are heading into the postseason! I use the API to keep track of records, playoff implications and currency my teams earn throughout the season.

So being that the API says it's been disabled, that means it was an intentional "turn off". Was this to free up resources in some way? I am able to get game history on the show itself and guys are currently forwarding screenshots of boxscores but it's a horrendous approach. I gotta be brutally honest here... every year we keep buying the game and putting up with custom leagues dissappearing... no league leaderboards, just really the dark corner of MLB the show. I realize you guys gotta prioritize resources to the main areas of the game... but the custom league community should never be taken for granted. Guys playing in diamond dynasty leagues specifically are motivated all year long to grind and buy content for our leagues and that puts money in SDS's pocket. I think if this API turn off was intentional... at least some transparancy would be appreciated so commissioners of these leagues can convey the message. it's a bigger deal than it sounds i'm afraid. a game crash in Ranked would have a fix within a day... we're just asking for some clarity on whats up as this is really the first time in years i've seen this happen. @sds_joek_psn Sorry not trying to give you a hard time... but i am trying to give you a hard time ... lol for our guys that love custom leagues. i'm sure you'll agree @xxoctobernyyxx_xbl @derekf20_psn @dolenz_psn @airdangus23_xbl

I'm dealing with the same issue here. I run several leagues in MLB The Show 26 and honestly this whole game history situation has become a real headache. We have a lot of people playing games every day and now we're stuck asking everyone for screenshots just to figure out who won, what the score was and keep our standings updated.
What makes it even more frustrating is that the player profiles are working fine, but the game history isn't. So what's actually going on here? Is this something that broke and they're working on fixing it or was the API intentionally disabled? I think that's what most of us really want to know at this point.
I've spent a lot of time building and managing these leagues and I'm sure plenty of other commissioners have too. We do all this because we enjoy the game and want to keep our communities active. I'm not expecting everything to get fixed overnight, but at least let us know what's happening and if we can expect game history to come back.
and I really hope this isn't something that's being permanently removed because for those of us running leagues, it's a much bigger deal than it might seem. Just give us some answers, SDS. That's all we're asking. -
Just did another test and found something interesting... I checked my game history on MLB The Show 23, 24 and 25 and all three are working perfectly fine. I can access the game histories without any issues.
But when I try the exact same thing on MLB The Show 26, it doesn't work and the API keeps returning "This API is temporarily unavailable."
So apparently this is only affecting MLB 26, not the older versions. Not sure if that helps narrow down the problem, but I thought it was worth mentioning here.
Hopefully this means something is just broken on the MLB 26 side and can be fixed, rather than the feature being intentionally disabled. Would really appreciate some clarification from SDS on this.

I hope you guys running leagues get it resolved. My interest is more about curiosity than need.
You would not think that there are so many people checking game logs that it would be shut down to try and improve server performance.

the api is just really a link to the source data being the boxscores, card data etc. being that you can pull it up inside the game itself that means the data is there.... just the access to it through the web is down. gotta be just a broken link somewhere. but i do know that prior to the ultimate "turn off" that the boxscore and api access was dog slow for a few days. that's why i had guessed that there is some resource hogging that was relieved. I could be way off... but i beleive this is why the leagues get deleted after 40-60 days as well. to free up resources. sounds like some tech upgrades are in order.

100% feel the frustration the API outage is causing custom league folks. I followed up today, and there are still no concrete updates. I'll keep tracking it, and hopefully we'll know more soon.

Yeah it’s hurting about a dozen leagues that really use it. A few hundred users that are really affected for sure

We are getting into crunch time for the new season and desperately need these
