Nms here. I won’t be buying the show in 27

I agree that the bots have made this difficult. There are too many cards to buy and sell. It can take too much time. I also am considering not buying the game next year and just play this years game for fun.

@TripleH-4481_PSN Man even regular TS packs feel like duds. I don't think I've even pulled a gold from one of those in a month.
-Deadliners have been useless
-Ballin' is a (80) Gold
-85, 89, 90+ packs have been the lowest possible tier.
-I pulled an ultra pack from the Trade Deadline MS- 3 Freddy Peralta's- this almost aggravates me more.
Even in the jumbo pack I just opened...which historically netted me a mid to high tier diamond, and maybe one or two other low to mid tiers...just gave me an 85 OVR from the Astros.
I don't want anything for free, but bumping up the landing rates on diamonds in packs won't kill the bottom line. Juice has got to be worth the squeeze.

@datnickdogg351_PSN I'm NMS with all collections done and with more stubs than cards to buy. People buy the game and play a couple hours a month and think they should have collections done.
I think that is an oversimplification. Most who only play a few hours a month are not expecting that.
There is little doubt, at least in my mind, that things are more difficult this year. The number of collections seems higher with all these card series, which translates into more expensive cards.
I can see someone who has been NMS in the past without issue struggling this year.

@Bridge-Piece_XBL see u do that now tho and ur “stub transfering”.
-
I'm also NMS. I don't flip, don't spend money and have not been super lucky on pack pulls. Still have all collections done and about 1.5 million stubs. It's still pretty easy to do if you are willing to play the game, sell some cards you earn when they are at their peak, and don't feel the need to get every collection done the day they come out.

I don't think so. I flip A LOT. It's how I engage with the game when I have to work a lot / can't play. I did get restricted by mistake earlier in the year, but was not part of the bans.
Anyone falsely banned was probably selling cards to bots accidentally.

It was either this or the "innocent" people were actually just banned for the WBC glitch

I hate this years game and it’s a complete A$$ product, but still with all its horribleness this game remains so achievable nms. I only have miggy done and just need judge and ohtani but I only play a couple hours a week. Honestly there is no other sports game that even comes close to being nms and give this much value. You can have an all 99 ovr team right now and not spend a penny. You literally cannot do that in any other game! I hate this game right now but have to give flowers when it’s deserved. I wish Ramon would come back and save this game but just wishful thinking.
-
I don’t even flip at all and don’t even sell my silvers and below and I have all collections done. Just missing a few cards especially the Chase cards. I don’t even have Buxton earned. You are doing something wrong.
-
@ColdPaceX_PSN It’s not impossible, but they are making it harder and harder. I’m not buying 27 either. This year was absolute disaster.
-
You don't need Beltran or Chase cards to be competitive. The external cost of using a monitor is more impactful than any cards you have.

I've never purchased stubs; by the end of April, I had already unlocked both of them through pure gameplay. My approach is simple: I build a dedicated Reds theme team alongside a secondary squad specifically tailored to grind out current missions. Just play the game to have fun. Don't waste your money buying packs or stubs, and definitely steer clear of those sketchy third-party stub-selling websites.
That being said, I am extremely frustrated with this year's game. SDS is acting like they simply don't care anymore. Because they hold the exclusive MLB license, they're operating a lot like the Castellinis—acting as if fans have no other choice but to consume whatever product they put on the field. At this point, my only real objective is getting as many Reds player cards to P5 as possible, which is unfortunately easy since they only release a new one about every two months.
If you asked me today whether I'm buying MLB The Show 27, it’s a hard no. But realistically, by next March, I'll probably end up getting it. I just love baseball too much, and anything that gets me closer to the game, I'm in
