Stub sites have been around for years. Why this year is it suddenly a problem???
It's always been a problem but for some reason there's alot of content creators pushing the stub site saying that it's completely legal and now alot of people have been banned

@Ibuprozyn_XBL While I do believe accidentals happen...the sheer volume of "I got banned for flipping!" posts popping up indicates people got caught and are trying to very visibly play innocent. I flip a TON and I've never been banned accidentally. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, because we've seen it happen. But I'm not buying that the majority of the posters were innocent

Every single person that buys stubs from third party deserves a ban. They are the reason the bots exist. I'll take a better late than never on this one.
Hopefully WBC is next.

@xRatedGProdigyx_PSN SDS should ban all of his accounts. Every new video he posts should be from a brand new account that gets banned as soon as he posts.
Well I'm pretty sure he has dared them to ban him the last few months via X so... I guess he got what he asked for?

@grimmdogg23_psn I think it's a three year account ban, so it will cover the remainder of 26, 27, and 28 for that account. If they were really intent on causing aggravation they'd just IP ban.

@Ibuprozyn_XBL good luck same thing happened to me and @sds_joek_psn and @manu__sds_mlbts literally went into my post here and said don’t worry we are working with him but nothing changed. They should ban people that violate ToS but they have to find a way not to get innocent people and rob them of the purchase price of the game

Exactly, this how you stop this [censored] in it's tracks. Account bans are great symbolically and don't get me wrong I'm ecstatic they are happening but to really crush this endemic behavior is IP bans at least for the most egregious offenders like streamers promoting third party stub sites. 3 year account ban is okay for the ones purchasing the stubs. Let's take this one more step and IP ban the promoters and ones operating the bots and stub transfer sites. Baby steps I guess.

Force these clown streamers into the general workforce where making stupid surprised faces and spewing generic nonsense will get you ridiculed and/or written up. Not everyone needs to be famous. Lets get back to having only exceptionally talented people on platforms.

They need to ban anyone that uses the sites AND any streamer that promotes any of the sites.

Hey, does anyone know that if someone was banned, either accidentally or on purpose, are they still able to access the marketplace via the Companion App?
I am away from my console for the next two weeks and my PS+ is due to renew in the next few days and if I accidentally got banned (have NEVER bought third party stubs) I want to make sure before I pay for a years worth of PS+.
If it matters; I can still access the Marketplace via the Companion App.

@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN if you're banned, you will see no stubs in the app and when you're in the marketplace, if you tap on a card, it will give you an error.

It is a pleasure to see people learn that there are consequences to breaking the rules and if you choose to do so that there can be consequences.

For those that do not do twitter, here is yfk rant about being banned. My opinion well deserved.

would like to point out that they made it their priority to get these bans out right before a collection drops today. Had to make sure all stub purchases go through the Show Shop! It's not only people that used stub sites, they also banned people who were using the marketplace to make stubs the legit way. People are getting banned for investing properly. I'll talk more about SDS in a bit, U4GM first.The last 5 years I've gotten a handful of offers from multiple stub sites that I never considered or responded to because I never wanted to risk getting any one banned. After learning that thousands of people from my community had already been using the site to get their collections done for years & seeing other creators promote it without issue, I decided to do more research into it. I chose to buy stubs from the site prior to partnership to see what the process was like & everything went perfectly smooth. I waited multiple days after the purchase to be safe, and obviously there was no ban. After then discussing it with my Twitch chat & seeing that they unanimously supported the move, I decided to do a trial partnership. I honestly still stand by everything I have said about U4GM as a company. They delivered everything that was promised on their end. They were legit & they were safe to use. Early on I made it a point to emphasize that what we were doing was against terms of service but nobody I knew had ever been banned for using the service. I also mentioned that if bans ever began I'd stop any type of promotion instantly. I didn't realize it could all happen at once & for that I'm sorry. In a year where SDS has done nothing but lie to us & limit our ways of earning stubs the right way, I loved the idea of players getting more stubs while spending less money. It's the LEAST they deserve after putting up with false promises & paying full price for a broken game.

Honestly I've never loved SDS more than I do today.
