@Apolloz_99_MLBTS no I agree. But the really good players do put up 10 runs every game regardless. Just less rng. Make the game equal for both sides. It never is. One team always has an rng advantage.

I play DD offline only now. Until SDS makes timing hitting viable in ranked etc, I won't bother.

@Jacky-Chan1_XBL you know what this isnt a bad idea especially for casuals. Anything below 700 rank timing hitting should be relevant. All the pros on this game put up 10 plus runs. Why cant we?

The really good players are actually way more likely to complain about rng. All the elite players bemoan it 24-7.

But, what's the fix? Their games are already insanely high scoring.

This game plays better than you think when theres two good players (not game beaking or elite players, just good - say an 850 player)...and theyre playing with like gold shield players. Thats what this game is meant for.

@rubicante23_PSN I would love to see fielding be a tad bit harder. Every play seems to be routine. In years past speedy guys could beat out slow infield hits. Not anymore. Something ive noticed. Speed does not matter in the game from home to first base. They cant beat out infield hits. But they can steal every base no problem.

In years past 99 speed guys would get in field hits out run it. Not anymore. Like I continue to say. This game gets worse and worse....

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL I think it was like 2019 or 2020, they actually did make fielding quite a bit harder. The timing on the throw meter was really tricky to figure out consistently and errors happened a lot more often. Cards with really high fielding attributes even became part of the meta. But the player base whined and complained so loudly that it only lasted a couple months before SDS dumbed things down again and fielding has been braindead easy ever since.

What exactly is a "causal"? Are you referring to time put into the game or skill level?

Ditka is referring to skill level, which has very little to do with being casual. A casual player is never going to go into practice mode, but they may play enough to get good naturally.

And casuals are definitely less likely to care about RNG in online play.

I think it is a combination of time and effort. How much do you play and how seriously you take it when you do play.

There are casuals who put 100s of hours into the game and never care about their online ranking or whether they can beat the CPU on Hall of Fame.

On the flip side there are others who play much less than that and take it a whole lot more seriously

Casuals are less likely to care about RNG? Meh, not necessarily.

Let's refer to an online game I played this morning where I hit back-to-back perfect-perfects on back-to-back pitches along with a hanging splitter down the middle to 99 Yordan that was a 102mph out despite PCI target touching the bottom of the ball. This happened in the first two innings along with another bad luck out on a good swing.

The people who put more time and energy into the product are more likely to keep playing while either complaining about the bad luck or keep telling themselves "That's baseball." The more time they've invested in it, the harder it is to let go because it makes the 100s of previous hours feel wasted.

The casual is more likely be like "????????" and, if it keeps happening, find something else to do. They don't have as much invested into it.

I agree with all of your comments about what a casual is. The guy who doesnt care about progressing past all star to hall of fame, lower skill levels, less time played, etc.

These are the players that will play online and have been pushed away, because of the lack of online programs, rng, cheaters, cannot get rewards unless you are very good at the game.

Sds has a huge problem with now pushing these players away.

Its pushing me away also. Because i cannot make world series consistently enough to get these rewards. So you can consider me a casual as well.

Its gotten so bad that im now apologizing to offline only players for past comments.

Offline is also a mess. This game is just a shell of what it was.

@Teak2112_MLBTS Then he should say "players who refuse to put in time in the game to get better" lol.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN yes im seeing that also. I feel like every time they upgrade the game or do anything they break it more. Do you notice how the game feels harder now. I dont get it. But the gameplay always seems to be changing. Never consistent.

@WahHill627_XBL I cannot really say that. This game is hard man! Putting in the time does make you better yes. But even all the time may never make someone good enough to compete for world series consistently. Those awards evade most players even with the time put in.

The players above world series is more then time and grit. Its a whole nother god given skill level. Or they play 10 hours a day and thats how to become great. Not many people have that time.

I get it, there is no real way to define what casual means. It seems it has a different meaning to everyone depending how they play.

The rng also feels other wordley rn.

Edit: what is up with this game rn rly just loaded into a game went down 4-0 in the second inning in the 400s im usally a 800-900 player and i just quit this is ridiculous my down fall needs to be studied.
