Idk. I’m probably a casual? I’m almost 40 and play for maybe 1-2 hours a day. I don’t have time to grind Ranked much, but I did win about 20 straight event games. There are definitely casuals playing events.

The casuals left like around June. Once it became obvious to the average player that your input has very little if anything to do with the results you get in this game as far as hitting goes, most people walked away. The online is garbage and always has been a piece of tras. The fact that you’re playing a game that requires milliseconds of timing on a peer 2 peer server is a joke in 2026.

@Apolloz_99_MLBTS no he is right. The inputs when good are so hit and miss in this game. The game is extremely hard to begin with. Then when you square up a ball and rng takes over, thats extremely demoralizing to a casual player. A top 5 percent player it doesnt effect as much. Because they can do it over and over again... square up the ball i mean.
If you are a pro at this game a perfect line out doesnt effect you that much. Youll square up the next one just as easily. A beginner or casual player it effects tremendously. The game has become a very negative experience for alot of players.

Not to mention foul balls. It’s essentially equivalent to a basketball player getting 10 chances to hit a free throw. Of course sooner or later it will go in.
On the other hand you will watch your opponent foul off 100 very bad timing swings.
Next inning you are slightly off on the pci within the strike zone with good timing and you go down 1-2-3 on soft contact in three pitches haha.It’s enough to drive anyone insane.

It's always the opponent who catches a break and gets all the late hits and have bloops dropping.

@Dolenz_PSN no we just remember it more when it happens to us. It happens on both sides. The point is just way too much rng.

@SpawnOfDitka_XBL you can’t just get a hit every time you get a good input. There will still be line drive outs. It shouldn’t be as simple as I had good timing and that you should automatically be on base. Otherwise let’s just go back to where every hit is a home run and the score is 11-10 every game.

@Apolloz_99_MLBTS no I agree. But the really good players do put up 10 runs every game regardless. Just less rng. Make the game equal for both sides. It never is. One team always has an rng advantage.
