SDS - the computer throws way too many balls

The thing with online for me is a lot of time I feel like my time is wasted because I am not great at hitting. And when you run into people who are good at hitting it makes it take even longer for you to receive basically no progress towards anything
I feel this. I'm not a great hitter by any stretch either...I'm not awful but I'm not gonna shoot the lights out most games (although lately I am getting better).
And yes, its not fun when you are struggling to get hits while your opponent hits everything you throw
This was the ranked game I ended up winning last night- Guy was getting bloop shots dropping in on every 2 strike pitch, where as my PCI location was cursed to produce rollovers and "out in fronts"...that was literally the first five hair-pulling innings

@Rubbaneck34_XBL I walk multiple times an inning, it’s just too much. I have all the missions done in this new mini season, except mauer….. and they keep walking him. It gives me one base, so I have to hack with him no matter what.

The pitching offline is a mess this year. It doesn't matter if it's a red diamond ace or common scrub they all throw 3 2feet out of the zone and 2 on the line and you're left guessing...in the zone, way out, or another on the lime.

So...I dont really disagree with this post, but people dont ever complain when real humans pitch this way online. Just when cpu does.
Like, good online players dot the corner over and over - to the point where you might see one ball every two innings thats anywhere near center of the zone. They throw plenty of balls too - slider/cutter breaking in on you, breaker low, heat high, etc.
People just accept this with human players and go "well thats strategy - thats how you pitch". When cpu does it, there's outrage. Also, no matter what cpu does - the cpu games go WAY faster and smoother than online games.and also, cpu gives you center cut meatballs WAY more - on any difficulty.
I get that people seem to just want CPU to be a punching bag where they can quickly grind stats....but I dont want that from cpu. I want it to be a good replica of smart play.
Good replica of smart play?!?
You tell me when the cpu pitches 3 pitches way outside the zone and on 3-0 dot fringe edge strike inside bottom corner with a change up, let me stop there what pitcher is going to use change up on a 3-0 count but also dotted on a inside bottom edge corner?
Cool, I took it all the way, 3-1 thinking he's not going to want to walk me with a man on 1st and 3rd after walking the previous batter. I'm like hot [censored] Im going to get something to crush nope, I got a high and away slider that nicked the upper corner. Strike 2.
3-2, I was ready for anything in the fat part of the plate there was no way the cpu was going take chance at loading the bases. High inside fastball that nicked the upper corner. Took it hoping to draw the walk nope strike 3. And this was a common pitcher......

And I'm swinging at the slider that's 3 feet out of the zone 99.9% of the time.

its the low stuff that still gets me far too often. I swear the CPU break is jacked up on those pitches but that ones probably on me

I swear it was just me. I’m not the greatest player, but I do know baseball and the cpu pitching is the worst. I find myself chasing bad pitches more so out of frustration and boredom. I am totally responsible for swinging or not but the cpu is not realistic. It seems to pitch with the same “recipe”: ridiculous non-strikes, a borderline pitch for a strike followed by more non-strikes until you get 2 strikes then a cheesy strike 3. Bottom line: I need to let the cpu throw balls, but it just seems so cheesy.

Bring up your walks
Bring back downvotes
Ah, that's why there isn't any controversial posts when I go on profiles.

They also will pitch around a righty to get to lefty lefty and visa versa it’s almost better to just put all righties together and all lefties together in your lineup

I will say - in my recent conquest games (usually hof), I have seen a lot more balls than usual. I dont really care, but maybe some sliders have been adjusted.

I hate, loathe, detest doing Conquest....okay I'm done. Signing off for the night.

I think it's both (I'm in the same boat). I don't know what it is, but I swear stuff near the lower part of the zone looks like a strike 99% of the way in, then breaks 3 feet outside.

Pretty sure it’s by design to induce chasing and fuel double plays. The late break is extremely unrealistic. Kinda like high sinkers.
