I think 'premium stubs' with better odds packs is next
As much as this is the way the gaming industry is going...I'm probably done if that's truly the case.
On the flip side, that model in particular is only successful in games as a Live service/platform style. It won't fly on an annual release

EA and 2K print money with it

I JUST got the Steve Carlton card.
Triple XP week? Maybe??

Edit to add: I’m comparing my progress this year to last year I completed every inning last year, except one. (Vacation). I’m was playing the same amount, but getting nowhere near the boss pack. Wheel spins, I’m not upset about. Although I got several wheel spins during innings last year.
So, SOMETHING has changed. I still play vs CPU on Veteran. Still am finishing every program in the Programs tab (except online). Done WBC mini seasons more times than I care to remember. Yet, I am nowhere near a boss pack. And this player is not happy about that. Especially when I see an online program with 90k XP attached to it.

Here are the most recent programs
- June Countdown (online) - 90K XP and 86K Stubs and 2 sellable Cards
- Moonshot Event (online) - 10K XP and a Sellable Card
- Current Multiplayer Program (online) - 60K XP and 6.5K stubs and 5 sellable cards
- Summer Program (offline) - 10K XP and 500 stubs and no sellable cards
- Vintage Program (offline) - 10K XP and 500 stubs and no sellable cards
- Pack Palooza (offline) - 5K XP
Online Programs - 160K XP, 92.5K stubs, 8 Sellable cards
Offline Programs - 25K XP and 1,000 stubsSo to me it seems pretty obvious how some people get to the boss packs and some don't. Add in any bonuses for online play and higher difficulties and it becomes pretty clear. It also explains why offline players have a harder time affording players we want if we don't flip cards.
SDS needs to try and find a better balance. Risk upsetting the top 10% and the Bottom 10% in order to better serve the 80% in the middle.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN More about paying for Nintendo Online, which I don't ever use, because I play all my online multiplayer games on PC.
I used up my free trial to do some other program a year or two ago, and found online pretty boring. Two singles in a 3 inning game isn't a given, and who wants to have to play more than one.
-
@Dolenz_PSN you failed to mention xp you get from any offline mode outside of programs. The only thing online got that you didn’t was the event and June countdown which are both time limited.

Look I get it, not everyone wants to grind a game which is designed around grinding or paying. But you can’t really say you don’t have the opportunities to collect bosses and get wheel spins. Granted some people have too much in life going on, I get it and I can’t stand online, simply because I’m just not that good, so I only grind it when a mission requires it. But my goal is to complete each inning this year and try to collect everything and being able to complete everything available by doing it efficiently has insured I’ve doubled each innings XP max this season. My overall point is if you really want to get these things then you’ve gotta be willing to put in the time to get them and if your not then that’s fine too, but you can’t really complain about not being able to collect xp if you don’t have the time or interest to do so.

It is absolutely valid to complain that it takes more effort this year, and its not like they have increased the rewards to offset that. The notion that we should accept things becoming less player friendly is absurd.
While I wouldnt call DD an elitist mode, its certainly become less casual over the last two years.

15k per mini season (I think a few years ago this was 60k) and 4k per conquest typically.
Also the spotlight programs, and the cornerstone is a good chunk usually
This inning doesnt seem that bad, if countdown 60k was available offline we would probably be pretty close to how things used to be.

I think i said this on another post. Offline your biggest complaint seems to be lack of xp. The xp path rewards are weak besides the bosses, so why is this such a huge complaint? The other thing im hearing..is alot of you do not play online because you are not good at the game. We all started off bad at the game. Im sorry just sounds like excuses. As far as the toxicity and cheating, turn off the news, its not that bad. Maybe one out of 10 games you'll run into a toxic player. And I rarely come across someone that i think is cheating.
