Where are the TOP PROSPECTS??!!
-
@inlu5twetru5t_xbl If they do the 40 man of every team that’s 1200 players because current guys also look different from year to year. Not every prospect is on the 40 man roster. ST is weeks before the game launches. You gotta be realistic here.

@dodgers19k88_MLBTS this is fair and def not reasonable to expect perfection. In my ideal world they prioritize people they haven't scanned yet and specifically players who will likely be in the major this year or next, so wouldn't have to be the full 40 man. This seems intuitive and doable to me, but you're right it's not realistic to expect scans for the whole 40 man. I'm mostly basing my critique off what I expected in years past, but times do change. It's just frustrating man. I genuinely want to buy this game, but I just can't justify paying full price when this is the product. Scans is like the bare bare minimum for me because I would obviously appreciate better gameplay/graphics/motion etc. too. Appreciate the response though

@inlu5twetru5t_xbl I played when the game didn’t add anyone after launch so them adding anyone should be good when it’s done. They also had no real minor league players approximately 5 years ago. Be happy they have them at all now thanks to whatever new deal the minor league players got.
Myself personally. I’d rather they fix the foul ball rates not being 25-30 percent of the time vs 15-20 percent of the time as they keep saying they have and the 10 plus pitch at bats which should happen 1% of the time in the real world not 5 plus times per game.

More of this BS lol. They can do both. Actually you can fix foul ball rates yourself with sliders, but DD, they want the foul ball rates how they are because it bails out bad players.

If you change the sliders you lose Gameplay XP and won’t complete the inning in DD.

I played with them all the way down to the left and it didn’t matter. So no.

It’s irrelevant to the conversation. Fixing foul ball rates and adding face scans are surely handled by 2 completely different teams. It’s not going to take away from gameplay tuning to add face scans. Not like they would anyway. They want foul balls to be like this.
You’re not going to finish the XP path playing offline anyway. If you adjust more than just the foul ball slider, you can definitely reduce foul ball frequency with sliders.

@BillyBB1133_PSN If you have read all the posts, you will see I have mentioned this several times.
SDS and the MLBPA do indeed have an agreement. SDS does indeed have the rights to the images and likenesses of the players.
What they don't have, is the right to drag any player into their offices and force them to submit to a face scan. The players must still willfully, of their own volition, take their physical bodies to where SDS conducts the scans and get them done.
If they don't have the face scan, they can either wait until the player submits to one, or use a cheesy pasted on picture and end up looking like that screen of Altuve that @savefarris_psn posted previously. They don't wish to do the latter. Therefore, they wait until they get a scan.
So, please, understand the difference between having the rights to their likeness and obtaining their likeness.
Some just never learn.

I finish every inning and play franchise about 85% of the time. I occasionally get into the idiotic wheel. I also finish every program. I just prefer franchise over DD and play zero online. I finish every inning but barely.
Just incase your didn’t know since faces are so important. Most of them do not have the correct batting stances or pitching windups and that won’t ever get added. At least the face scans actually get added at some point when the players care enough to do it.
-
@dodgers19k88_MLBTS Why would you do this? Now we're going to get 10 posts about wrong stances and windups. Good job!!

Here's the thing: Some players don't even have their animations at all.

@StinkyMcPooter_XBL I didn’t think of that. My bad.

Samuel bassallo is 6’4” 250 lbs and yall still have him at 280 lbs. no scan or batting stance for him either.
*180 lbs... His Live Series is 180.
That Topps Now card they have is spot on though. His stance is also spot on compared to others.
And to be fair, he's still a newer player. However I still don't see Jorge Mateo on that long list of yours though.
He's had the same exact player model since he was with the SD Padres, since literally COVID. -
You must play this game an unhealthy amount then.
Don’t care about stances. I can edit them myself.

@dodgers19k88_MLBTS I do like them adding players after launch and I am glad things are better than they are 5 years ago (although idk if that is actually true since I remember them having more prospects in TS21), but I also think that is how it should be. I think part of the frustration with SDS is that they are not keeping pace with modern games and in some ways regressing compared to previous TS games. I think we are on the same team here, cause I hope they work on foul ball rates and release points and all that as well. Hoping they figure out a way to address some of these things so it doesn't feel like the same game repackaged every year.

Then they aren’t real so stop complaining about everything needing to be real. I play enough to know if you don’t cheat and edit the players ratings for the players you whine about not having accurate face scans they won’t be viable players in your franchise anyways. Not for someone who plays less than me and I only manage a couple seasons in a game cycle.
