This game is way too hard for beginners

@JenkinMeyer_PSN oh yeah I completed the survey and mentioned most of this on there.

@Onix_Savage22_PSN right. I respect every player who goes online and at least tries to get better. If they are bad I even message them and try to help. Stop the toxicity. Its a game no one cares how great or how bad you are.

“Why would you even TRY you idiot be a pro like me”
-Seemingly a lot of the game base

There are good people out there. Unfortunately there are lots of elites who do demean others to make them feel good about themselves. Definitely appreciate you guys and others who respect and accept players of all skill levels. -
Just my experience but I think rookie/veteran got harder a few weeks ago. I'm not very good but can consistently win offline on All Star by like a run. I play different levels depending on what I'm trying to accomplish. When I was grinding for total bases, I went with rookie/ veteran. For PXP, I went All Star.
While grinding mini seasons a month ago, easily hit the hits/XBH season challenges on veteran. Now I have to let the CPU extend games in the playoffs to get it. I had better success against the same cpu with my 87s than I do with Pujols and Tulowitzki now.

@SQT18_XBL
Do you feel that one of the game updates included a change that made rookie/veteran more difficult in the last few weeks? What you describe sounds similar to what I have usually done in others years, but I see the 100XBH for TA to be somewhat daunting. Only done about three teams so far when I hoped to be much further along by now -
I feels that way. I only started playing last year so I don't have a lot to compare it to. If there was an update, I think it affected hits off the center of the ball.
I'm trying to get better at zone hitting but struggle to get the meat of the bat on contact. Most of my hits are off center. In the past, that could equal to solid contact on lower levels. Now, off center contact equals fly outs and weak grounders. Similar to what has always happened on higher levels.

Do keep in mind and I hate to defend SDS ever but none of the legacy things for any team are supposed to be completed in a week or month. It’s a long haul thing.
Be Atlanta and get 700 HRs etc for a 3 pack
What I do is find the teams TA that has lowest amount of strikeouts or hits and become a fan of that team

@DeleteyourTTVBTW_MLBTS Not sure why you took offense. Just saying Rookie and Veteran is very easy. If that is an issue for anyone (not you, I dont know you, unless it is an issue for you) the only thing to say to that is "get in the lab" ( practice). Rookie and veteran can be accomplished and with enough effort even higher difficulties. If I offended you that was not my intent. It isn't that serious to get excited about and even go to depths to seek validation for how these lower difficulties are truly hard. Only way to get better at anything is practice and work. No this doesn't mean you need to dedicate your life to mastering rookie or veteran, it is inherently easy. Lets stay on topic of the difficulty. As I stated in my original comment, the lower difficulties are easy. All the best on the diamond.

It happened on the 15th, update 6 and the Jackie program. was ripping through wbc and NT mini seasons and after the timing windows are all over the place the pci isn't moving or erratic in its moving,hits straight at fielders exit velo lower than you'd expect for the timing/placement sometimes much lower, some of it is definitely me, but some of it is not

People have finished all the TA in a month! Every team has the same requirements for TA, don’t they? I think you’re confusing the #1 fan with the regular TA in which 100XBH is needed to complete. No one but braves fans are getting 700 HRs with braves for example. I realize that when I said “daunting” i must have led you to believe I meant the #1 fan programs. Anyway that might have been the wrong word choice in that sense, but I regret that I’ll only have about six of the 60 jolt cards when the legend collection comes out tomorrow. So I’m 10% done with jolt after over a month of playing. I’m so far behind the power curve that I’ll finish jolt in November if I’m lucky. And that’s for the first collection! That’s what I mean by “daunting.” I guess all star and finest will be rolled out differently (i.e. not in TA). But this is going slow for lower level players like me when I wasn’t that far behind in previous years. -

Like when you get the jolt card or the Live series card combo you can snag a few extra packs just by getting their pxp.
And you can do it for every teams 2 players. Granted the packs will result in garbage but at least you get to play with these badass new cards. (Most of the jolts and collection players are limp noodles. There’s strong sarcasm here)

@JenkinMeyer_PSN
I see. Got it now. Not as daunting as I thought since the jolt for tomorrow’s collection is only 30 cards, not all 60. I thought all 60 were for this one -

It’s going to be an insane amount of cards - you can’t afford it
-
@JenkinMeyer_PSN
Yes I know, but I can complete those other collections for vouchers without doing all those stats with 30 different teams! Water under the bridge for (some of) those ones. -
True enough
After tomorrow is when I generally quit. Not because the collection card sucks - but because every card you buy or use isn’t worth a [censored] so it’ll cost you like 5 billion stubs to ignore 160 players it took to get you there. I hope it’s some submarine pitcher like Dan Quisenberry I hope SDS chokes on their Taylor Roger’s and Darren Odays and gives us the ginger stache
I’ll check back in a couple months and see if there’s a Cardinals McGee - then log out again
