Prices up on everything

The market usually takes a dip during WC and then rebounds right after. That was the trend last year and it has held true this year. Human behavior is my only explanation, I haven’t bothered to figure out why, I just always plan to buy the dip.

Yep me too and I finished team affinity for the captains during inning 1. I’m sick of grinding mini seasons for peanuts as I’m pulling absolutely nothing. Flipping isn’t really worth while and extremely tedious right now.
So I’m not progressing in the game and nothing seems worth the time. So I’m stepping away until there is actually something worth doing or prices aren’t so ridiculous.

Pretty much. The effort to reward aspect just doesn’t exist right now to justify grinding for terrible packs that yield nothing towards completing collections. If I felt like I was making some dent in the collections by playing that would make me feel differently.
I’m not mad about it just unmotivated and disappointed. I enjoy the game for my baseball fix but right now it just isn’t hitting at all. Time to watch a bit more real baseball and enjoy the changing weather. Hopefully things turn for the better eventually.
As others noted my word for the game right now is simply “stale”.

Everybody just got packs from Weekend classic and everybody got the same 4 WBC diamonds worth 3k that they already collected. Now everybody gained stubs but nobody actually got the good cards. Just Severino and Quintana again and again.

Thats not tue I pulled a Nick Costeonoes and pulled a Skenes from my standards. It's all just dumb luck.

@TripleH-4481_PSN no I agree hoping tmro isn’t a complete bust as far as content goes excited for the new storylines undoubtedly the best mode in the game. I play diamond dynasty a lot but it doesn’t mean it’s the best mode in the game the rng this year has ruined it.

Man, Storylines needs more promoting - expand it to cover more baseball history too - such a cool mode

Just as an FYI. The calender shows Ranked and Multiplayer program on the 14 (tomorrow) and then on the 15th a new "Program, event and More" and the next three storylines.

They have absolutely dropped the ball on storylines. The Negro League segments are extremely informative and have actually led to my son and I taking a trip to the museum this year. I’m a 40something white dude and I want a homestead gray or Crawford hat like you wouldn’t believe. I just think it would be weird if a middle aged white dude wore one.
I’ve always known about the feats of the negro leaguers and listened to Kendrick’s podcast a lot. But the storylines are just so well done and have a nice reward at the end. Too bad they don’t have a TA program for them. The cards just exist. Biz Mackey was my end game catcher last year and I had every single card in the game. This mode could be soooooo much more.

@LHUBison58_XBL if as much time was put into this mode as time was put into gameplay we would be looking at a game of the year candidate. they could even do this with old time mlb imagine going thru a storyline of joe DiMaggio’s hitting streak. Ted Williams year hitting .406. Bob Gibson 1968 season even modern history like Barry’s 73 if they had the rights redsox 04 season. I’m getting myself to excited but u get the point the possibility’s would be endless. I also enjoy bobs podcast very educational.

There should be a new storyline, embedded in DD every inning at some point. It would be a great way to engage offline players and potentially could provide new cards and collections. Right now they hide it away and it’s easy to overlook.

Collections are the 24th, I assume its demand for the cards? I hope its not being manipulated though. If you have the stubs and see the price drop bellow the average and its a rare pack I would buy it.

For what its worth, cards seemed lower in price to me during WC (although the 91s are going up)
I snagged the chase cards and Garcia during that time. I did expect Trout to dip but he didnt move much, grabbed him too. Ohtani came down a bit.

@LHUBison58_XBL strongly agree with this they could have very easily taught us who Rick Farrell and bobby doerr are instead of just throwing them at us. cause I’ll bet myself included 95% of the community didn’t know who these guys where. And I feel like I have fairly good ball knowledge and I found myself calling my grandfather asking about these guys.

@Teak2112_MLBTS what do u think the odds are they add an egg hunt collection and a st pattys day collection on the 24th. Cause rn it seems pretty bare bones I’m assuming they will add standouts and maybe award series and milestones I don’t think they will add signature series as there’s not enough cards.
