CPU is obnoxious

@AppleLemon560_MLBTS I mean like program cards. They don’t often put the best cards in programs or in TA. They want you to pay for them. Yes you’re correct, every player has the ability to do collections without spending money. Not many have the time.
-
Never said good, said obnoxious but maybe you don’t know the difference between those 2 words.
-
Cpu is absolutely obnoxious!! Notice in mini seasons everything you hit is a lazy pop up. Every perfect you hit is a single lol or a line drive out. Dotting cpu pitchers on rookie, they definitely have it set up to make the grind for stats harder. Zero doubt. You cannot argue this.

I really don’t think the game changes much between difficulties on the CPU end. It’s just harder to achieve things on your end. Timing windows are smaller, pci is smaller, pinpoint pitching has less forgiveness that sort of thing. The same swings, insane takes, double plays, gold glove defence all feels exactly the same from rookie to legend on the CPU side.
I pretty much played every game on legend to grind out PVs the first night. I won some by +15 runs and with complete game shut outs. The first game I lost this year was conquest on rookie. It should never be that random. Don’t worry about what the guys trying to flex are saying, you’re correct the gameplay on rookie in this game is ridiculous. My niece can win 5-0 on fifa every game on rookie. She would never score a run in this game in 5000 innings. What is the point? It’s offline DD who cares if it’s way too easy? Let kids and old heads have fun without needing to have a sweat rag, $200 monitor, and aftermarket controllers. Rookie should honestly be playable for people with disabilities, are moments and diamond quest progress really that serious?

I guess my issue is that everyone gets annoyed anytime CPU is capable of winning. Like, do you just never want CPU to have a chance? Is CPU not supposed to be challenging - it's just a grind assistant? As someone who prefers to play offline, this doesn't make sense to me
-
@Ditka06-_MLBTS Meanwhile the CPU batters hit bombs on the exact same pitches with the same contact and timing

You’re missing the point. They just need to balance the CPU properly. For me, personally the defence is either OP’d or the ball just always hangs too long. When you’ve got Schwarber running down gappers and diving for liners sinking faster than Amber Heard’s court case vs Johnny Depp, it gets annoying. They’re getting to balls they’ve got no business getting to.
-
Or you’ve got overweight 1b jumping like their MJ and making grabs they wouldn’t in real games. In Showdown, I get it, they want it to be harder, but when I’m grinding on Rookie, against the lowest ranked teams, they shouldn’t be pulling web gems at least once an inning.
-
Yet, there's all these posts that go "why is CPU so good!!!" What?
It's almost as if people have different skill levels and play styles.
-
That’s all I mean. The CPU is not difficult but annoying. The player attributes don’t play at all as common players should not be making diving plays like Ozzie Smith or dotting up the strike zone like Greg Maddux. It happens way too often, even on lower difficulties, which makes it ridiculous.
If it’s a platinum defender or Cy Young winner on HOF or Legend then I can at least rationalize it. But when it’s a 55 with terrible speed and defense or pitcher with awful control it makes no sense and just feels like ratings don’t matter at all when controlled by the CPU.
-
Some these defensive plays the cpu is making are freaking unreal ridiculous. Outfielders with 25 speed and 50 fielding sprinting towards the left field line from being shifted towards right field diving and making the catch in foul territory in left field is extremely annoying. All in all the cpu I find is pretty easy and gameplay is definitely better. The dots are also annoying I don't even swing at them. If its a strikeout oh well move on to the next batter.
-
Ill agree wholeheartedly on the web gems - cpu is insane defensively. Defense is too easy in the game, in general - there should be more errors and bad plays, but then everyone would cry "rng made me lose!"
I will agree that Rookie is way harder in this game than any other sports game. But, the reason is that batting is very difficult - i feel like there are 1000 people in the world who know how to hit in this game (and Im not one of them).

@Sarge1387_PSN lower fielder reaction time 1 notch to 4, that helped with the superman diving, also raise infield arm strength up 1 notch to 6

Literally everyone is diving so much I feel like I'm watching a swimming tournament
