@SaveFarris_PSN Doubt it will be a pack and I don’t buy the graphic design argument.

How am I less excited for 26 after watching this than before I watched it? [censored], they really need some big-time competition.

This is a DD forum. The difference between DD and every other ultimate team mode is enormous. And none of the other sports game are any better in terms of bugs or annual game updates. For perspective, NBA 2K26 released a card recently that cost 5k (and their online gameplay is dominated by cheaters who don't care you spent 5K) Thats why they can afford to have different versions of their game for different platforms with a deeper legends roster.

2014 AS Andrew McCutchen (90 OVR) shown in one of the screens. Likely RS/BR Season 1 reward.
I hope any rewards in season 1 are WBC
That looks like live series collection to me since Skenes could be around that high.
-
I saw 9 inning mini season games and my excitement is so high I couldn't read any of the other words.
-
@Dolenz_PSN They aren’t that much better to make up the difference. I really hope he’s not the collection.
Then who should be the collection? Are we just expecting elite 5 tool switch hitting players every year now?
-
@Dolenz_PSN I’m expecting an announced ARod or something like that. No they don’t have to be a switch hitter, but a guy who’s just a good hitter at unimportant positions with no speed and not a switch hitter isn’t good enough. Babe was a 2 way player. Jeter was fast and played a good SS. IMO, this would be the worst collection reward we’ve seen following arguably the best. In a year without much excitement to begin with, that would be rough.

Jeter ... played a good SS
Objection, your Honor!

Are we still getting a dd stream tomorrow at 4 est? Or was this it.

Stream, hopefully with better information

I claim cultural appropriation! -
The mini season update is huge. Not having to play 28 games is going to make it so much better. I dont really like the new UI tho. The one we have now is amazing, and from what Ive seen so far, this new one looks a lot worse
-
@SaveFarris_PSN To be fair, I’m talking about his card not real life.
-
But good news: SDS later spoils how you get Pujols in a later screen.
And... they own 3 Signature Pujols cards. So, we can do the LS collection 3 times

-
I (and I'm sure @dolenz_psn ) was thrilled to see Matt Carpenter as a new Legend. I LOVE HIS CARDS.

Happy but a little shocked as he was actually in the game in 2025 as a live series player. He just was limited to a single common FA card
-
Matt Carpenter had retirement program cards in 23 and 24, they gave up in 25, and sent him from player directly to legend in 26. Its because of the college thing, but still kind of funny

Noticed that the preview for the DD stream today states its at 2pm PT. Which would be 5pm ET.
Is that correct? They're starting the stream later than normal?

100%
He would be the weakest LS reward in a long while.
2020: Mantle
2021: Chipper
2022: Randy Johnson
2023: Derek Jeter
2024: Babe Ruth
2025: BeltranMantle and Beltran would probably rank at the top because they were true five-tool cards across the board in CF who hit from both sides and were new to the game. Chipper wasn't too exciting as a name since he was a player most were very familiar with, but has one of the best swings in the game and was at least a switch-hitter at 3B with SS/OF eligibility. Randy Johnson is the only pitcher entry and was the most dominant starter in the game for a long while. Derek Jeter lacked the big power, but was a huge new addition to The Show and his other stats while also playing a premium position made him very viable. Babe Ruth wasn't new at all although he's always one of the most feared sluggers in the game and at least had the unique two-way feature.
Pujols would make for a fantastic NL reward, but comes up short as the overall collection card in my opinion. I guess he's technically a "new' addition. It's just that many people have used his cards for years now and pretty recently. He will mash for sure although he's just a little too one-dimensional as a power righty bat. I'm not even sure if the extra position versatility will matter much given his limited speed especially as an outfielder.
They must be really banking on the new parallel system as well since he barely eclipses 100 power facing either side which seems odd for a guy with 700 career HR.

Personally I don't care about the live series reward because I wont swipe or flip for it. By the time i get it it will be irrelevant (I got Beltran a week ago). I imagine way less than 50% of people get these cards in the first half of the year so Pujols wouldnt be some big deal breaker for most people on the game.
However, a good live series card is huge $ for SDS so I do find it hard to believe Pujols is the answer here. But I don't know what is. Andruw Jones, while an elite defender at a key position that they can juice up the power for, isn't going to be very exciting (and he will almost certainly have his HoF card as a mega collection midseason). Felix is a pitch, and hes no Randy Johnson.
I find it hard to believe they would have kept Rose or ARod a secret though so I really have no idea what they do.
