Who's pre-ordering on 2/3?
-
If I preorder it will be like every other year. I will wait until the last minute and I have seen all the pre release streams and information releases. Probably not doing Digital Deluxe this year. I'll spend the early access seeing if I can upgrade my program for the 26 version
I am also looking forward to Crimson Desert which releases the same week. Busy month

I’ll be preordering!
What did you decide to play in the meantime
I was most interested in God of War and Ghost of Tsushima. They were both on sale in the PS store so I snagged them both. Started God of War over the weekend and that’s been really fun so far. But I am probably going to check it GoT tomorrow or Wednesday. I have some work to do before MLBTS26!
-
I will definitely order the game. Not positive I will preorder. But I’ll get it before early release and buy the deluxe
-
I’m most likely preordering but having doubts about the version to order
-
I am pre-ordering as always. I'm just looking for starting grinding DD from fresh again
-
I intend to pre-order this afternoon.

In all reality guys you're paying for a roster patch. I cannot imagine they'll be much difference in gameplay as there really hasn't been much of a difference the last 5 years. The menu screens will change, new artwork on some cards and that's it. I wish It was on Gamepass this year cause I don't feel I should pay again. I paid enough since MLB The Shows inception.

I am genuinely on the fence although there has been something that's sucked me in at the last minute the last few releases. Being a huge Yankees fan, Jeter coming in definitely hooked me for 2023 and then the additions of Bernie, Pettitte, O'Neill, and Sabathia did the same in 2024. Last year, I got a great deal on a used PS5 so ended up getting the new game to finally experience it on the most current hardware.
Regardless, it has virtually been the same exact game since I first started playing back in 2020 on PS4. I am looking forward to the gameplay preview later today as it would probably take some significant overhauls to get me back this year. It's baseball and I realize they can only change it up so much. However, I will likely skip 2026 if it's mainly just a roster update with the same visuals and minor tweaks which is unfortunately expected.
EDIT: The only legend that would guarantee my pre-order this year regardless of any changes to the game is Scott Brosius.

The last 2 years it goes like this. I'll get excited and pre order, then cancel the pre order, then buy the digital deluxe the day of early access....and then buy the digital deluxe the monday i go back to work on my Switch 2 to play on breaks and lunch at work lol. I'm guessing the same process will happen. Anybody got some of that crack they are all talking about?

I've realized for me a huge factor is always the new pool of legends. After 2022 I intended to take a break from 2023, but Jeter/Sosa/McGwire were huge wants for me personally so I caved and even though 2024 was a relatively weak year in terms of big names being added all of those 90s Yankees from my childhood sucked me back in. Same as last year with Manny/Clemens/Ted Williams.

There is a high likelihood that I preorder today, just have to see what my funds are looking like... at latest I was gonna preorder when I get off work, March 12th... but the earlier I can lock in the game the better... my dilemma is that I'm trying to make sure I can get MLB The Show 26 and WWE 2K26, as WWE 2K Early Access is a full week before the game comes out... WWE 2K early access is 3/6 with game releasing 3/13, then MLB early release is 3/13 with game releasing 3/17... so that's like $300... trying to see if I'm preordering both in one swoop or if I need to stagger the preorders because I think the WWE preorder comes with more bonuses the earlier you preorder it.
-
I'll never understand what people see in the WWE gameplay. The over reliance on counters can make it such a slog to play, and there is a fairly high degree of jank when you start to involve tables and ladders and all the fun stuff. The GM mode is pretty fun though.
-
I think I'm sitting this year out, don't nearly have the time I once did to play and I didn't really have fun in 25. Need to take a break
-
100% buying the game, not so sure about preordering.
-
just preordered both MLB The Show 26 and WWE 2K26... it helps that Digital Deluxe for MLB The Show is $99.99 and got the 10% off that knocked it down to $89.99... every little bit helps... now I need to see if I'm going to get this Elgato or try to salvage the one I have
-
the ragdoll physics are supposed to be improved this year to make slamming people on steel steps, and I'm guessing steel chairs and such more viable... also added the ability to stack table on top of another table... these are yearly games that I play so it really doesn't take much for me to preorder... not to mention I didn't get games at launch this year so I'm just now getting back into my gaming groove... for the first time in a few years I actually requested off for launch... I'll have a full week to play WWE 2K with their early release being 7 days before their official release on the 13th which is also MLB's early release day before official release on 17th... so I'll be able to get WWE out of my system for most part before dedicating time to MLB and then from there go back and forth until NCAA/College Football releases
-
I will.
I hope we return to wearable caps again for pre-orders. -
I bought today with the 10% discount, so this is one of the few things I will spend less money on this year.

After tax, it's still $97.98, lol. We saved $2.02, or so 🤪

Guess I’ll preorder MLB The Show 21 once again.
