Why so expensive

I only need 1 of 2 cards to finish standout collection. Story and Gibson. Why do they both have to be almost 400k
-
Because they were rewards in the past Inning XP paths so there is a limited number of them with no more entering the marketplace.
Makes me think that I should sell the Bob Gibson card if I have not locked it in. I am not doing collections and I won't use him over 99 Gibson. But then again there is nothing I feel like I would need the stubs for.

OR ... you could wait until the Forever program drops and you can pick them up for free.

I entertained the thought of going for J Donaldson but at this point I'm not spending the stubs on some these cards. I have now 4.975m stubs saved and 97 play it back packs unopened and plenty of dupes in reserve. Price is too high for Donaldson, especially since I won't use the other cards because I have better options. Probably buy the Mantle and Wheeler and sit on the rest of my stubs and wait and see if there will be anything worthwhile purchasing in the last few months of this game.

What are you hoarding the stubs for then? They don't carry over and as far as I know there are no more major collections that you would need to spend stubs on.
I don't think any card is worth that much but even as I sit at around 650K I wonder if I will spend it on anything.

You do make a good point. I guess hoping some cards come down the pike that I have to say are must haves. But in reality you are right not much more is going to come out to spend them on. You make good point about using them before 26' comes out and essentially they'll be worthless after that.
