SDS Please bring Team Affinity back

The All Star week was supposed to be the biggest content drop of the year. With the voucher system, Team Affinity was rendered meaningless in terms of playable content. I’m all for the voucher system for those that don’t like to grind, but an easy fix would have been to give us the cards and still give us reward paths to play for each team. A team Affinity mini season which is no longer a thing. Team Affinity conquest maps. I play at most 2 hours a night after my wife and daughter go to bed. I should not have to ration content. As of now, I have nothing to do.

Yah, I don't even play all night anymore when I get home, I watch 2 movies, play the draft conquest map and then thats it.
I don't think the content has dried up this quickly before but I could be wrong.
At least tomorrow we have a new program but even that probably won't last long.

Yeah, we need more TA content.
The voucher system isn't bad, but when you hit the All Star voucher the rewards are bare, pretty much only the Finest voucher and an icon after that. And there's no new missions.
TA mini seasons would be great. Like East, Central, and West themed ones (which we've had in the past, I believe), or AL and NL ones. We need more themed mini seasons.

I originally decided not to play this years game. That’s another topic for another day but I ended up picking it up about a month ago. I was pretty disappointed to see the All star cards included with TA myself. I don’t really want to grind with every team to use them

What i don't understand is that even if you make it the Finest voucher; youre still only at about 30% on the My Journey tab.
How do you get the other 70%?

I'm working one by one through each Team to get to the Finest Voucher. The only thing I have open to work on is the multiplayer program. Right now, I'm working on the White Sox - ugh (sorry @SchnauzerFace_MLBTS ). I'm sure my opponents are salivating every time they see me load into a game.

To be honest. The way they talked on the pre-release streams they only expect the most dedicated fans of a team to actually make it to the end of those grinds.
I personally can't see why anyone would even attempt to finish them all just to get a bunch of icons stating that you are the #1 Fan of a team that you are not a fan of. I actually like the idea but not necessarily the execution.
That said, the TA content does not seem like it was planned out very well this year. Evena few more smaller grinds like the Color Storm programs would go a long way.

It's clear what happened. They expected more people to be further along on the TA path by All-Star break - when they realized many were not, they just handed out a bunch of TA points in Color Storm.
But this still doesn't explain why there are basically no TA rewards after All Star badge - there's the finest badge and that's it.
This would be very easy to fix - just release a TA2 path with more rewards for doing team-specific things. It really seems like they don't care about the offline grinders (like me) who enjoy this kind of path. Doesn't make much sense.

I think the color storm was planned.
The biggest issue was absolutely nothing new for all star. I think most of us were expecting a color storm like track for a retro all star. Legends have been underused this year, and the reduction in TA cards is probably the reason.

So if you get to the #1 Fan icon; you will show 100% completion in that Team's My Journey?
I'm not talking about the path that gives you stuff. Im talking about the rectangle that is labeled "My Journey" and shows a percentage total underneath it.
Right now, after hitting the Finest voucer, it states I'm at 30% completion.
Does that mean once I get to the #1 Fan icon, I'll be at 100% completion? Like it shows I'm at 100% completion for their Color Storm player.

I still fully expect a TA Color Storm-ish drop in 2 weeks to co-incide with the new Inning, though it will still probably disapoint. (Previous year TAs around this time included everyone's favorites OOP and Snapshot).

It should, I am at 39% of the Cardinals
561,000 out of 1,415,000 which is 39.??%
The final three missions grant 1,050,000 Which should get me past that final target

I completed the Reds to 100%, all the other teams to the finest voucher, lately I just play the draft conquest an occasional diamond quest to sell the rewards nd hope someday they'll add more TA rewards.

OOP was the first post all star TA I think. This drop would be around the time we got action figure, which was pretty cool
I think you are right, we will get a TA sub path 3 weeks from today, one week into the new inning (because they cant interfere with WC I guess)

I liked the idea of TA this year, but they failed miserably on execution. Captains was a good idea, but they should have figured out a way to do a pitching captain and hitting captain. They easily could have just done 2 on the first TA and it would have worked much better. Next, they blew it by giving a massive chunk of xp for the color storm xp. Let TA be a grind. It’s supposed to be a year long grind. A better way would have been adding more team xp missions with every inning drop rather than handing everyone all that xp. Finally, they should have added more packs along the way to the #1 fan icon. This would have made TA perfect IMO.

There really needs to be a card per inning for TA. The team specific TA has actually been detrimental to theme teams

@Teak2112_MLBTS I would love that especially if they are captains. Giving us new captains scaling with content every inning would have been great and would have avoided the issue of teams having 3 straight position player captains, for example.

Its funny, they can give McMahon absolute fantasy stats like 125 power for a guy who has never hit more than 25 HR, but the guy with 10 walks in 123 innings over the past 2 years cant get that last point in control.
Card will be fine overall, don't get me wrong, but its just kind of silly to not give him the 99.
