The Silencing Continues / People Blindly Defending A Heavily Flawed Game

I don't need to fill anyone in on anything. I play to relax. I don't care how many of my so called P/Ps are hits or outs.
I don't even pay attention to that stuff.
I play the game to play the game. If I win, great. If I lose, I move on.
I don't let it stress me.
Video games are meant to relax you. If you're more concerned with who's using which settings and which hits were/weren't P/Ps; then this game isn't for you.
No matter what SDS does; people will complain.
-
The game is awful in comparison to 24. There is no way in 10 hells I will pay even 1/4 of retail for this game and probably will find a new MLB game. They didn't put on game pass because they knew what a disappointment it is/was. They have lost more brand goodwill on this one, I doubt they come back. Good riddance. I'm sick of paying for a new game when the old one was great and it's about profit. This just opens the market for new competitors.. The Show is old and stagnant. Time for it to die now and SDS to learn that lesson that only comes through huge financial loss and accountability for the devs. I hope they are proud of destroying a franchise.

My posts get locked because I respond to everyone. Then it looks like things are out of control. This is the first time you've provided me with any kind of data and lived experiences. It seems like the boards have a history of soft and inconsistent rule enforcement / banning players. I encourage you, keep an open mind and read the list I wrote up in the last thread. I think what I'm saying is plenty fair and deserving of a fair and articulate response... even if you still find yourself disagreeing with everything.
You play to relax, but frequent the boards? This seems like a place for hardcore players. And just because you don't care, doesn't mean other people don't. I would LOVE to be like you, where nothing matters and I accept any old thing. However, I'm not wired that way. I love baseball and often times I don't recognize it when I play The Show. To me, it feels like having no baseball at all. You probably won't understand where I'm coming from, as that's been a pretty consistent theme.
In fact, I haven't been playing College Football 26, because I can't get over how inflated and unrealistic my defensive stats are to everyone else in college football. Each year my DE breaks tackle for loss and sack records and wins all the awards associated with the position. Doesn't matter if I'm Ohio State or Coastal Carolina. It's a simple, simple thing, probably silly to a lot of people... but for me it hurts the immersion and darn near ruins the game.
Here's what it is: I've seen The Show be good. I've seen Madden be good. (That's been years, obviously) To be honest, until my friends insisted I get one, I was going to skip PS5 altogether. Sure, it might be more powerful... but what does it matter with lazy, greedy and unskilled game developers? So when I see the game's being bogged down by the simplest of things that weren't even issues in the PS2/PS3 days, it's really irritating to see. Your solution is to not care about anything, just like you do. It's like making an extrovert an introvert. I am not the only one thinking what I'm thinking nor am I the only one saying what I'm saying. It's NBA 2K too (and Madden... if I got into NHL, I'm sure it would be the same thing with them too) RNG and game scripting is a sports video game trend that needs to go away and never come back (unless it's NBA Jam)
People would swear I'm the only one saying these things lol.

The topic I started, that was getting some positive traction until it was hijacked (again) by the usual suspects, has once again been locked. SDS is doing all they can to silence me.
-
And t's me who has the reputation as a "personal attacker" lol.
Care to respond to any of the points made in the original thread? Do you disagree about every point? Even the part about wanting better graphics and more animations?
-

Strikezone wasn't brought up either. Sorry about your aversion to reading. You're really missing out on the Harry Potter books
Wouldn't know if it was brought up. Not reading more than a line or 2 of whatever you're rambling topic for the day is. The first post I seen of yours was you complaining about people using different settings than you. That's all I need to know.
-
It evolved into giving players the option to avoid playing people using Strikezone. Willing and able to evolve. Open minded and almost excited to have my mind changed. But yourself and others haven't given me a lot to ruminate over.
Might I suggest only replying to me if you have something new to add? I'm well aware of your reading comprehension levels, you don't have to keep reminding me.

I agree on the Sleeve patches. They can use the same logo editor they use for jerseys and hats. But necessitating "blowing up the game"? Hardly.
Everything else was in the "I just lost a game I think I should have won and I need to vent" family.
-
Sleeve patches, we agree.
Blowing up the game, why not? Did you read my other points? I think I included about 15 of them. I'll pull a few for you and ask some questions.
-
Do you think the pickoff mechanic needs to stay as is / has no room for improvement?
-
How do you feel about the hits to home runs ratio? I mentioned it has both hurt me and benefitted me. I won a game yesterday by getting 4 hits (all 4 were home runs) in the first 2-3 innings. My opponent put 3 on me early, then got fed up and quit after my 4th hit was a home run. I pulled real game data from the MLB this year and compared those box scores to The Show box scores. What's your stance here? Because The Show has a far higher percentage of bombs than the real enchilada.
-
How about updates to the game itself? Do you think there's a lot being added every year and all facets of the game are getting love and attention? Or does it seem heavily skewed towards Diamond Dynasty / money generating modes?
I don't want to overwhelm you with questions, so I'll stick to those 3. Also, if you don't mind, I'd love to know how many Ranked Seasons games you've played this year. I don't care about your record, just total games.
Maybe I misunderstood your last sentence. Other than the sleeve patches, you're saying every single one of my points is coming from a place of "I'm angry I just lost?" Can you double check and get back to me on this? I think you might be operating with some faulty information. Also, what about the people echoing my sentiments?

It would be funny if it weren’t sad
-
You haven't played any Ranked Seasons games this year, so it's easy to be unaffected.
Any thoughts on my other points?
-
@Squid_Adams_MLBTS I’ve played you said so yourself

@Squid_Adams_MLBTS
No, what I should have said was "When will this guy get a permanent ban" -
Against the computer. The Show plays fine against the computer. We're playing a different game, basically.
Hahahahahaha, under what grounds? You have to do permanent ban worthy things to get a permanent ban. Listing facts about this game and wanting it to be better is not ban worthy.
"They should add alternates for create a uniform." (banned) LOL

How about repeatedly violating the forum TOS? -
@Squid_Adams_MLBTS -- Your threads get locked because they cause tumultuous and unproductive discussion. When your initial post begins the thread by calling out others by name, you're not off to a good start.
We've discussed this both publicly and privately, but I'll remind you one last time: you're allowed to criticize the game as long as you do so respectfully and constructively. You're also allowed to respond to people who reply in your thread, as long as those responses are respectful and productive.
Creating threads that are passive aggressive and intended to stir the pot isn't productive and won't be tolerated.
