New Spotlight cards for Wednesday Jul 30th
-
@Dolenz_PSN look at my post above yours, they're releasing a 99 Milestone card
-
That Kurtz card could be sick. And it's been a great week for us Braves fans! (I wish I could say the same for the real life on field team)
-
Actual Topps Now cards passed up due to artificial limit:
A bunch of all stars that werent going to get a new card
Acuna, who has been taken care of
A few guys who already have Topps Now (Cole Young, Kyle Teel, Colson Montgomery, Drake Baldwin)
Nick Lodolo
Jackson Chourio
Zach Neto
Cedric Mullins
Christopher Sanchez
Bryce Harper
David WrightIt doesnt make sense to give Harper and Wright Topps Nows this late in the year, but a lot of other guys got passed up in the name of keeping the program to 3 cards

I expected Nick Kurtz but Shea is ok.
Kurtz got one last week
Wonder if he gets the lightning anyway, more than deserves it.Never say never but I think it is doubtful they give guy with a 98 overall spotlight card a 99 overall spotlight card too.
IT will be interesting to see who they give it too. Your top 5 based on war are
Kurtz (gotten a 98 July Spotlight already)
Stowers (gotten a 96 all star a few weeks ago)
Adames (gotten a 97 July Spotlight Already)
Corey Seager (Highest is a 93 overall)
Pete Crow Armstrong (Got a 98 All Star)I find it hard to believe they would give a guy a July lightning to someone who got a good July Spotlight but they are in kind of a bind in that a lot of the guys near the top of many offensive categories already has a good card.
Do they do another Pitcher?
Pitchers arent in a great spot for July
Springer or Arozarena (10 HR 5 SBs but low average) maybe
Or Harper, average month but hit his 350th
-
Topps Now really dropped the ball on their Seranthony Dominguez card. They should have combed through the footage to find a shot of him in his Orioles uni during Game 1 of the Doubleheader.
Now I don't care whether we get the card next week or not.
FOR SHAME, TOPPS! FOR SHAME!

She’s Langeliers is one of my favorite cards in this game and players in the real game. This is a great day for Canada, and therefore the world.
-
@SaveFarris_PSN
That will probably be in next week's drop. Thursday night is probably too soon to put it in -
That Langeliers card is nice. Catcher pop time, 95 ARM STR, max contact and power vs L, 120 CLU. At the very least, great bench option behind a catcher with defensive / base-running liabilities for later in the game (e.g. HR Derby Cal Raleigh).

I was curious since we always mention the Yankees getting cards and since Oakland had a mini windfall today where teams stood in the Topps Now/Spotlight cards.
We were not wrong about the Yankees with the most Spotlights and the second most Topps Now (behind the A's)
Team Short Name Spotlight Topps Now Total New York Yankees 6 7 13 Oakland Athletics 4 9 13 Los Angeles Angels 5 5 10 Tampa Bay Rays 3 6 9 Chicago Cubs 2 6 8 San Francisco Giants 4 4 8 Texas Rangers 4 3 7 St. Louis Cardinals 5 2 7 Minnesota Twins 4 3 7 Washington Nationals 3 4 7 Houston Astros 1 6 7 Chicago White Sox 1 6 7 Los Angeles Dodgers 4 3 7 Kansas City Royals 3 4 7 Milwaukee Brewers 4 2 6 Baltimore Orioles 3 3 6 Boston Red Sox 1 5 6 Arizona Diamondbacks 4 2 6 San Diego Padres 3 2 5 Miami Marlins 1 4 5 Colorado Rockies 1 4 5 Cincinnati Reds 4 1 5 Pittsburgh Pirates 2 3 5 Detroit Tigers 2 3 5 Toronto Blue Jays 1 3 4 Seattle Mariners 2 2 4 Cleveland Guardians 1 3 4 Philadelphia Phillies 1 3 4 Atlanta Braves 1 3 4 New York Mets 2 1 3

I guess retro is included in that? I don't recall the Mets getting a 2025 TN card
I think Topps has only actually given Nimmo, Peterson, Wright number retirement, and a whole bunch of Sotos, Alonsos, and Lindors. -
