I am not going to put down the fan boys cause they are a lost cause cause they accept everything and eat it like it's a steak dinner even if it's just a hot dog on a moldy bun.
I know both sides are guilty of this type of response, but it's hard to respect someone's opinion when this is how they respect the opinions those who disagree with them.

SDS probably did this because everyone was complaining about there not being any easily attainable 99s. I would have been fine if it was still 95s like how the real power creap should be

It's not pay to win it's the fact they lock more of the content behind spending stubs and MAYBE buying them but it's not pay to win. I mean look at the programs now over the past few years ... take the POTM as a perfect example.
They had us earn like forget the number but like 8 to 12 of them -- EARN -- understand that word EARN -- not RNG luck from a pack and not spending stubs in the shop. Earned them from playing the dang game so the fanboys cannot even refute this cause THIS is a fact.
However I am eager to see how the clueless fanboys can defend this ----- waiting ...
Good post, except for „Was the last sentence necessary?“ in a debate on how you look at things (that almost makes the rest useless) … Imo „no“
But: I agree. E.g. last year‘s HOF program was more content-friendly. You could play for the cards, not the stubs. Correct.
But last year those cards were not meaningful at all … or: it did not make most teams that much better. My point was: There is too much debate on the stubs-thing. You can get every card pretty easily, just be smart on the marketplace and just play the game.
There is also another argument line for me. If they kept the power creep on it‘s early-July-pace, those cards would be more powerful.

"grind for stubs > buy cards" with stubs will always be far inferior to "grind for cards"
Yes, but I get the intial intent and maybe it is a balance thing. Imo, there is a very good (not perfect) balance.
To me, 21 and 25 are pretty much the same. If you want the high-end cards then you have to play the game and be smart on the marketplace. But you do not need the big collection cards. Batista will not make any lineup that much better (not saying he is not good)

I think it's because EVERYONE'S getting a 99 from this point forward and they had so many to give out, they started doling them out early.

Well, good news for everyone who already had 99 Ted Williams in their lineup. Nice of them to give the rest of us the 95s I guess, like parents buying the Nikes they only sell at the outlet store to show off to the other kids at school.
I'd prefer a system where you work to get individual cards you want (like how I got Cal Raleigh), instead of you gotta excitedly collect all the cards in the game, because maybe they'll release someone you really like in 4 months.

Saying you're not going to insult a group of people, then putting a back-handed insult as your next sentence, really doesn't help your case.

It’s way better getting 99’s now while baseball is going strong. Take Madden for example it’s so lame that 99’s don’t come out until the NFL season and playoffs are over.

@dbub_PSN they’ve been doing the same for weeks. Their goal is $$$,
"Siri, what is the goal of a business?"
Got Allen and Wagner with what I already had. Will be getting Bautista as soon as the next CHASE sale hits.
And I'm fine with that.
"Gemini, should businesses always make the most money possible and ignore everything else?
Once again I've got to be the one to point out these board members who clearly favor large corporations over regular people.
People that believe that disgust me.

Yes.
Now, some believe the way you do that is to gouge, gouge, gouge and get all you can get when you can get it. (EA)
Others think you build brand loyalty over time so that customers keep coming back again and again (SDS)But either way, the end goal is the same: $$$

That's really sad. But at least you admit it. And what you said about SDS might have been true (back in 2021)
And let me ask you a question. Do you prefer executives and CEOs to make more millions and billions instead of also helping the hungry and poor?
