Help me understand

So I'm currently playing a game for the weekend classic mode. It's bottom of the third inning score is 7 to 1 and the game just pauses. I get a message that the game has been disconnected from the server. I get the the post menu I've lost. Obviously the score 7-1 but how did this just happen randomly? I'm in the middle of my game and just disconnected by what....

Just curious, is your PlayStation wired or using WiFi?
I ask because I occasionally will see my phone say "No Internet Access" on my wifi while I still actually do have Internet access on other devices.

I’m not pointing at anyone here, but a big majority of people have basic commercial routers and/or don’t know how to optimize and prioritize traffic. It’s not a cure all because you can’t control your opponent’s setup, but it helps a lot.

It’s so funny to me how many people are defensive about their internet connection.

I think ultimately if we aren’t using a wired connection it doesn’t matter how amazing our internet is there could be an occasional disconnect. I also have amazing internet but don’t have the ability to be wired so I have to accept the occasional disconnect.

@fubar2k7_PSN I have wired and great internet. I’ve only had 1 online loss from a disconnect. Ultimately, if you get the loss, it was on your end.

I've been losing and suddenly my opponent gets disconnected and i get the win , thanks bad internet.

@jake93436_PSN There's a lot of crashing issues with the game right now, where it halts the system, seemingly disconnects, etc. On XBOX, it doesn't go to the dashboard, it just locks up the hardware. I have to hard reset or quit to get it back. It happens to me in Classic too.
