Live Series Diamond Market this weekend
-
There may have been a post like this, but just curious to see people’s thoughts about how this “Weekend classic” and Friday’s new programs will effect the Live Series Diamonds.
Some to mention. Judge is over 200k, Ohtani is almost 400k. Acuna (not playing) hovers around 40k. Witt is 150k. Marte 125k, Soto 125k, Trout 150k, Harper 50/60k, Mookie 60K. They seemed to have plateaued.
This weekend, lots of packs will surely be opened. Do we think they go down? Stay the same?
Just wanted to get some players thoughts on the market. Specifically live series diamonds.

Still the first inning...won't be much change.
-
I don't see too much change happening this weekend or in the very near future honestly. Even with some programs this weekend, packs have just not been as easy to come by which is a major factor.
-
I'm honestly not sure either, but it'll be interesting to watch. Another factor considering packs could be the multiplayer program to. I'm about to reach the end this weekend probably, and I assume others are around the same spot, so that could be a lot of 50 pack bundles being opened soon.
-
Pack odds are still terrible. Many have not completed the Live Series collection and really that is the goal of most die hards. I hope to see a dip but I think it is too early in the game cycle. Might be a slight dip today after the live stream or even early Sat with maybe a panic sell but it will correct it self quick. Good news is I dont think prices will go up unless they bust out an stub sale. Im holding my stubs to see what happens and maybe I can pick up a couple diamonds under priced.
-
I think it’s easily the biggest pack surge in the history of the game. The amount of 85+ diamonds packs that get opened will be in the thousands. Normal packs in the tens of thousands. Everybody will also get stubs and stubs from cards they sell so it will offset somewhat.
I assume it’ll be a lot like weekend league in EA games, people will want the best cards they can afford right up until they finish which is why lots of cards are still keeping value. Then everything apart from 5-6 cards will come crashing down. Ohtani and Judge may even go up with the amount of stubs people get and being the gatekeepers. I think cards like Lindor crash like a penguin tariff was implemented.

Weekend Classic is next weekend.

They are definelty putting a lot of stock in the Weekend Classic mode. Unfortunetly it looks like it has taken away from the content. If Weekend CLassic flops they are in trouble.
-
Not much as they are the best cards in the game. More packs just mean more stubs for people to spend
-
@mubby_33_PSN In what world do you think there hasn't been content? They have given new content updates multiple times a week since launch lol
-
Supply should go way up so the cost of cards in general should go down... Pay two weeks haven't been able to get a massive amount of packs

Just got mine. 5 golds, 17 silvers, and diamond LS Trey Turner from the Chase pack
-
I think the prices will go down a little like 10 to 15% ish but not a big dip
High Diamonds will prolly not go down at all to very little like less then 5% but the 85 to 86 ones is where that 10 to maybe 15 % you MIGHT see but who knows.
-
@x-814-x-MAFIA-x_PSN the post didn't say it was this weekend

weekend classic is for a reasonably small portion of the population. The rewards are [censored] for sub 500, and not super exciting for the 500-600 bracket.
-
@Teak2112_MLBTS I dont disagree. I will skip it as I am terrible at H2h and as you pointed out the lower reward tier is terrbile and really dont like playing 45 minute to hour long games. But I feel with taking out repeatable Conquest maps and nerfing Mini Season rewards they really are pushing h2h. Yeah they gave us Diamond Quest but that has gotten stale already. I think they are trying to get more people interested in H2h and making them improve their teams so they spend on the game.
-
People seem to be underestimating the amount of guaranteed live series diamonds that will be pulled from the weekend league. I’d bet on a small dip over the weekend and a pretty quick recovery by Monday for at least the 88+.
-
I’m an offline player and planning to save stubs until Weekend Classic as I’m betting the diamond prices will drop. I sold diamonds like Sale and Lindor now as I’m not planning to do their team collection anytime soon.
-
It looks like prices are holding steady, but I got to think there will be a lot of packs opened this weekend which would drop live series diamonds down a little. My guess is Sunday evening will be the peak to see where it goes.
