God the only fun thing I've been doing in Diamond dynasty so far is playing with a Red Sox theme team.
SDS lowered his captain attributes because it was too meta? With too many good Red Sox players?
Have they ever done this to the Yankees who always have the most good cards?

Did they actually nerf him?
Not all captains are equal this year. They explained that teams that needed more help would have captains with bigger boosts
The Miami captain gets +20 to all stats
The White Sox captain gets +15 to all stats
The Yankees and Red Sox Captains get +10 to all stats with +15 to H/9
The Dodgers captain only grants +8 to all statsSo did they actually change Buchholz or did you assume he got the same boosts as some of the lesser teams?

My guess would be Manny. With the boost he would've been 92 ConR, 115 ConL and 101 Clutch making him easily the best hitter in the game and slightly OP for an 88

It is not about who will eventually have the best cards (in the future) … It is the near-future … that is pretty obvious, especially if you read the thread https://forums.theshow.com/topic/74566/update-red-sox-team-captain-adjustments

Maybe so but the live content team can't fix the bugs. They have nothing to do with the Overheating PS5s or the ground ball to right field or the broken attribute wheel (if it is still broken)
This is exactly the type of thing the live content team is responsible for.

But I'm pretty sure that this is unprecedented. Tell me have they done anything about the Yankees when they had twice as many good cards as every other team? Hyperbole, maybe, but the Yankees have always had the advantage and they never did anything to Nerf them.

Everyone has access to the cards. Yankee fans arent the only ones using the Yankees cards. Not everyone makes exclusively theme teams.

@dbub_PSN I still have troubles with those kind of posts. Why not think first? … The Yankees were kinda nerfed last year from the get-go, because Tier 3 captains requires much more players than the Red Sox. SDS nerfed a few captains (last year‘s Santana).
The one complain I would understand: Why do they nerf the Red Sox now? They should have known which players they will put out much ahead of time … maybe they did not and they did not realize the bad meta they created early on?

Though I don't appreciate your post (I assume you're not a doctor) but yeah, it's easier to get upset about little things like video games rather than big, actually important things happening in our lives.

They better nerf the Yankees and dodgers because both of them have better theme teams than the Red Sox

THey did not nerf Bucholz, they nuked the Redsox theme team. I understand all captains should not have the same boosts but instead of plus 5 now just a plus 1. If I want a plus 5 I have to have all Redsox. Yes there are some good Redsox right now but not enough for a full squad. So basically you are getting pentalized for running a Redsox TT. I would be an idiot to continue to run my Red Sox TT. Instead I have Bench boosting Cruz with some stiffs in the bullpen. Looking to change it to Cubs until they nerf Soriano because there are too many good Cubs.

The Cubs team is nice but has a big problem. You can't even use one of their top 5 or 6 players because 3 of the top guys play RF only. You can use one at DH but then you'll have a diamond on your bench being boosted for no reason, unless you want to play them out of position.

Yeah I've been running mostly Red Sox hitters and bullpen (22 of them). It seems like I'm getting screwed since I only get plus 5.
What's the bench boosting Cruz you speak of?

@Dolenz_PSN SDS has nothing to do with overheating PS5’s. This hasn’t happened to me a single time. Clean your PS5. Keep it in an open air flow with circulation. They make fan stands that help with overheating.
