Exactly how I feel. I don't mind paying 70 if the game is good. I'm not preordering so I can wait to save up the money. As much as people disliked '24, I played a hell out that game. Mostly because my little brother likes baseball and I'm trying to make him happy.
So ...... I'm hoping.....

And for every one GP user who kicked some cash as MTX there were another few hundred who played without MTX.
MLB pulled this presumably because MS don't want to pay enough, and their analytics - probably provided by Sony - show the game is worth more than MS are currently paying.
So good on them. Hopefully they can restrain the MTX stuff if they know everyone playing has paid full price.
If GP subbers want it there - gripe to MS.
Maybe that's why they made so many bad choices with mtx and sets etc. If paying 70 will get a better experience then ok. If they removed it from Xbox I'd not buy it on PlayStation. I dislike psn and the controller.

Putting the game on GP devalued it. MLB made a mistake with that move, and I guess SD studio and Sony have managed to change the arrangement this year at least.
They've told Xbox they don't want the GP money, and they're telling Xbox players, buy at full price or bye bye.
Props to SD studio - they believe they put out a product worth full price on all the platforms it releases on.
I'll support that this year with a preorder.
MLBTS 24 was on ps plus too you know? they released it at the end of the baseball year. so did sony think their own sub service also devalued the game?
and preorder? preorder for the same old same old game? No new modes? no way for me. It was getting tiring each year but 24 was the final straw. I liked moments at first when they came out but it got tedious to do the similar moments year after year after year. all the programs were also the same.
at least gamepass let me try it out. now for sure I'm not going to buy until there is a significant price drop.
Uh huh. It came to PS Plus after the season had ended, and long after launch - what's your point?
If Sony had put it on PS Plus day and date then you would have had a point. They didn't because Sony believe it justifies full price.
MLB chose to do the deal with MS for GP which was a mistake and devalued the product on the platform. Look how many of you aren't willing to buy it now. That's the GP effect.
And that deal is obviously not good enough since MLB are pulling it. They're literally walking away from your GP and MTX money. They're not doing that because it's been a success, they're doing it because the numbers don't work.
Good. Now we can get back to the normal game we played over here since 2006.

does SDS understand they dont own the entire summer anymore as the only sports game released before the summer months. CFB stole a lot of players away from MLBTS last summer. CFB has been and still is a huge success for EA.
I had even been a daily MLBTS player since MLB17 . But MLBTS24 was so bad that when CFB came out, I loved playing CFB so much that I never went back to MLBTS24. I'm sure there were a lot of players like he who did the same thing. I now play CFB daily.

I know? The 2 XB people that posted above me said they weren't playing this year and that was a response to them. That also seems to be a popular sentiment on Twitter, FB, and Reddit so my comment stands. The game will be just fine without Gamepass.

From what I've seen of the feature premiere this looks nothing like last year's game. -
I bought my PS4 specifically to start playing MLBTS when Madden became too pay to win. I'm still happy with my choice, or I would have gotten an Xbox whatever instead of a PS5.
I'm really wondering if you feel all franchise games should be free to play, or just MLBTS? If you don't feel it's worth paying for, than why play when you can play COD, or Madden, or NBA2K, or Golf, or AC, or whatever game you feel is worthy to pay for?
When it went to gamepass, I wasn't upset it wasn't part of the PS alternative. It was new to xbox and adding it was to introduce those players to this game. I don't believe anybody with even minor logic skills didn't see this coming.
"it's the same game!" Sure is! Baseball hasn't had any meaningful rule changes in 150 years. No surprise there. However, somehow I can play a game from 3 different sequential years and be able to tell you several differences.
If you really don't think it's worth it to buy it, I'm sorry to hear that and I disagree. Thursday at 9 PM I will be at my PS5 enjoying it. Hope to see you when you change your mind. (next week?)

LOL Still just an overpriced microtransaction fest. When they lose players, suddenly they'll want back on and they'll spin it like its for the customers. Im more upset with Microsoft for peddling Gamepass lying that it was being added, when it wasnt and for raising prices, while losing titles right and left. Only reason that this game even came to MS and was on the platform, was because it doesnt do the sales of a Madden or NBA, so they were trying to increase sales. Guess they think more microtransaction or starting now in highschool and college doing ther VERY SAME THING, is going to bring them to the promised land. It'll do basic sales and back next year for the roster update. No thanks. This move is not gaining buyers, its just losing players and more example of greed from companies that want to live in your wallet 24/7

Hmmm..........listen to you, listen to the entire world and reviews every year. Its going bye bye because they wanted more money for a game that didnt really sell all that great or do that well. They thought they'd get paid from MS and open up a whole new microtransaction audience. Thats ALL that they focus on. Sorry you dont seem to get what is dancing on your face.

Im playing for free. I use bing at work and that accumulates ms points for me to get gamepass free every month.
