I really thought there would be a huge thread about these two items by now.
No physical collector's edition for 20 years of MLB The Show, but a $40 shirt will get everyone's attention. Who is the marketing genius at SDS?

They may be waiting to announce a player for the collector's edition - we won't really know until the 4th.
I know I've sent them requests in the past to market t-shirts, but after 24, I don't even know if I'm going to buy 25, so it's really a day late and $40 too short. I don't think they really care about losing customers at this point, but my usual purchase in the past is a pre-order, a copy for the Switch, and a copy for XBX (after the price went down since it was on GP). Without GP to try the game out this year, I'm just not sure I will buy it at all.

I know the game was a mess last year but I still love it and playing MLBTS will always be something I enjoy. I would buy some merch, but 40 fish for a t-shirt is nuts. I don't think I even spend that much on my dress shirts for work.

They need the old red and blue ‘baseball is better’ logo (surrounded by a circle of stars) on a shirt to get my attention

Can you point us to where they came out and said there will be no collector's edition? As opposed to where they said that preorders begin on 2/4 for all editions (standard & digital deluxe). Why would they say all editions and then specify standard & deluxe as opposed to just saying standard and deluxe? Sure, you could see where they might be saying all of the editions are the standard and digital deluxe, but one can also read between the lines and think there may be more editions they haven't talked about yet. All I'm saying is that we will know for sure on 2/4. Nothing more, nothing less.
