Uecker was a great broadcaster and played one of the coolest roles in baseball movie history -- "Just a bit outside!"
However, he can't be a captain as his quality as a player would bring down any team. He style of play is best summarized by his flippant comment about the best way to catch a knuckleball back when he gave it a try with Phil Niekro -- "The easiest way to catch a knuckleball was to wait until it stopped rolling and just pick it up!"

Can we get him to be the announcer in 25?! Iād be a mix of AI and real lines but I really need āJuusstt a bit outside, tried the corner and missedā on passed balls to the backstop in DD or franchise.

Well, that's the point of a Uecker captain card, his stats would be terrible but the buffs he would provide would make it worth having him on the team. Much like his playing days he wasn't very good but kept the team loose with his humor.
Just thought it would a humourous way to honor the man that's all. -
