Make all BR and event cards available in an alternate manner (and not just paying a high stub price through the market) for those who don't do them. All players should be able to get the good cards. It seems like discrimination (yeah, a bad word) for those who don't play BR and events.
So don't reward players for playing BR or Events (or Ranked)?
I'm a mostly offliner myself and even I recognize the need to reward online players over and above in order to generate PSN subscription revenue.

Not saying that. I'm saying keep the current rewards but add an alternate grind for those (like me) who aren't skilled enough to play events and BR. Everyone should have the chance to get Clayton Kershaw Finest without paying a high stubs price.

You can get him by just playing the BR Program.
It's not that hard.

If millionaire packs are back, which I would be okay with, they need the option to exchange the stub tokens in three and five group batches.
-
Mass quicksell of duplicates. Let us do that for a page, or click on the cards for it. It would certainly make it easier for Free Agents and jerseys (so you don't get reset to the top of the screen) to be able to mass quicksell the dupes.
-
Search filters that meet program requirements when building a squad. For example, divisions for TA, attributes like hitters with under 75 power, and secondary positions.
-
Adding to the above:
- Fix the search engine on the app. It doesn't work as nicely as the one on my PS5 works and often comes up empty when do what should be a successful search.
- Is there a way to call up all of your posts here in the forum? If there is, I don't know it. There probably is, but if there isn't, there should be.
-
- Make all the best cards available late in the game (since there won't be a season 4 next year). The card I'm thinking of and I wrote about here elsewhere is the Willie Mays HOF card. I finally did get it, but I'd also love to get Brett and Satchel Paige. I wish there had been a Boss pack for them.

I think you used to be able to do that. Yeah, that would be a great add.

On one hand I get why they keep some cards locked behind that...on the other hand, I think there should be stat-based ways to achieve these cards offline vs CPU as well. I prefer to do all my DD stuff vs CPU because online really isn't worth the aggravation...so I wouldn't mind if all the online requirements were doubled or even tripled for offline DD players in order to get better cards too.
-
The option to exclude non-sellable cards when filtering for duplicates. After all the repeated non-sellable cards in the final chapter, it's a pain to try to get to only the sellable cards
-
@Capt-Clutch-2K24_PSN it’s not about being good, I agree. You can grind it enough and just from the PXP and getting enough strikeouts etc (even if you suck, someone will strike out each game) to get the max reward eventually. Might just take a while (coming from someone who spent forever getting Juan Marichal, only to never use him!!)
-
@SaveFarris_PSN that is not a good idea. Especially with no sets and seasons. It will most likely be a slow grind this year and the cards in BR, Events l, Ranked will be even more valuable. Can’t make it for offline. Defeats the purpose.

I collected all my idea posts in this thread and put them in a new thread. https://forums.theshow.com/topic/73498/my-complete-wishlist-for-mlb-the-show-25

Playing Ranked games in MLB stadiums is so much worse compared to stadiums like Laughing Mountain. They need to fix MLB stadiums to make them more enjoyable to play at.

Collect enough cards. Most are dirt cheap at the moment. You surely have stubs.

There's no problem if you come into the game on day one, obviously. I didn't this year. I joined in when Playstation offered the game on PS Plus. I have all the cards I want that I had access to. I had to spend some stubs to get Willie Mays HOF and there's no way I'll get Chipper Jones HOF. It's cards like that I'm referring to. It'd be nice of those were accessible more easily or in Chipper Jones' case, at all.

I think that having cards be available online only is not good modern game design. Online play is best when its two people that actually want to play online instead of someone just trying to grind missions for the card. It can drive offline preferred people away from the game if their favorite players show up behind a tedious BR or event grind. Online players should be rewarded, but there are better ways to do so than card exclusivity.
Some ideas:
-Online earning should be faster
-Online earning should be sellable
-Online earning could be 2-4 weeks earlier
-Online cards could be a flashier version of the same card
-Online versions can go beyond p5 -

So ignore everything else and focus in on one thing? And yes, for people that actually enjoy playing online the flashier version of the card will be enough, along with all the packs, stubs, and especially the xp (which many would argue is the biggest incentive for much of 2024 anyway)
People that actually enjoy online would rather earn something playing ranked or Event than mini seasons so the incentive is still there anyway. I honestly think very few online players would be upset at all. Maybe the ones that sell the BR rewards? But event cards and Ranked cards were low value until s3 and everyone survived just fine.
