Dodgers/Padres

What a series. The Dodgers shut the Padres out after that 6 run second inning they had in game 3. I didn't think Dodgers could do it with the pitching they have. I felt like the catch Profar made to take away Mookies home run and then held it in his glove too long sparked the drama. And Manny's still a punk throwing a ball into the Dodgers dugout. And then there's Tatis doing some dance with his groin taunting the fans. And you wonder why the fans responded.
And how sweet it is to prove A-Roid, Big Poopi, and Jeter wrong. Onto the Mets.

From before the season started, the Dodgers thought they bought their way to the WS championship. I can't wait to see their disappointment when it doesn't happen.

Even if the Dodgers win, I think the Ohtani contract should be illegal.

Which part -- the enormous size or the enormous deferments?
-
All of it
-
@sbchamps17_NSW I don't so much mind the amount --- the Dodgers should be able to pay as much as they want -- but the deferments shouldn't have been allowed. I can't help but think that will bite the Dodgers further down the road.
On a related note, was listening to Alex Pavlovic on a Giants podcast today say the Giants should have raised their offer to $1 billion. He also said the Giants knew what the Dodgers were offering. So I think it's pretty likely the Giants would have done the same thing if they'd have gotten him.

All the high salaries are going to lead to a cap.
-
There can't be a cap because the players association will never go for it when negotiating the new CBA
