Your Card reveals and teases for Season 3

Well my guess is- it paves the way for a 99 Cardinals card.
I realize that.
The question is will I still be playing at that stage?

And we have our first reveal. I assume these are Team Affinity Cards. Are we seeing a theme? At first I thought something about teams who drafted these players but it does not hold up for Nolan Ryan and Jonah Heim.
I had thought early career cards, but Ryan would be a met or Angel in that case
Im worried about whatever is starting in the bottom right of those cutoffs, it could be taking up too much space on the card
Otherwise these look like something that could have been an actual early 90s card set aesthetically

@Dolenz They have such a terrible model. They release the best cards in late fall and winter when no one is playing in HOPES that it will bring in players. But better cards wont bring in players on a dead game at that phase. They would beef up their early and mid season numbers with better cards

I am sure some people come back for them but I am not usually one of those people

Yeah, really does make no sense, but I am sure it translates to dollars somehow.

They release the best cards in October/November because thats when they should be released. Power creep is generally a good thing to keep players playing, and people like the feel of progression in general (which is a large reason why they hate seasons as it undoes progression)
I really doubt they bank on the cards drawing many people back that late in the season, although they probably do get back a few of the madden crowd.

I wouldn't mind that, I think that they should show what stadium that they played at in their career

That also allows for the eventuality of the secondary cards (Headliners, Ranked, Collection, etc). In this specific case, you could have Nolan repping the Astrodome and someone like Biggio repping Enron/Minute Maid.

Why would they refuse to show the bottom of these cards?
A guess that's probably wrong, but why not:
The series is called "Stadium Club" with a picture of the home stadium on the bottom of the card.Behold my terrible mspaint prototype:
I think these card are out of position cards so they cant show the bottom half. Cant wait for catcher Machado

Yep it’s the out of position thing. Ugh, I really don’t see the point in this.
-
-
@SaveFarris Will Farrell at every position.
-
-
We may not get any more TA reveals than that if they are trying to be coy about this out of position nonsense.
There are still Season Awards, Ranked, BR and Events rewards they could tease.
Unless somehow they are also all tied in to the OOP nonsense.

I could understand it if it were for players who swapped positions in minors but from what I can see Heim has always been a catcher
This significantly reduces my desire to play season 3 if these are our early season options. I have no desire to hit with Nolan Ryan or pitch with mcgwire. Very strong chance I have played my last game of The Show this year and I was actually excited for the game again recently.

From an early age, Halladay loved baseball, trying every position on the field until, by age 14, his success on the pitcher's mound attracted the attention of major league scouts.
So, I guess we're going to use the teenage version of Halladay.
