Regardless, Seasons with expiring cards are terrible. Starting over (again) at this point is ridiculous. Hopefully next year they go back to "Innings", which naturally supports a power creep.

We have a 99. Core Banks.
Anyway, I like Seasons. It gives me the opportunity to use cards that I would never use. It also freshens up gameplay to where, minus a wild card, you don't see the same teams.

To Adept's point...the whole "Seasons" thing has been a universally panned disaster as far as reception in the community goes. I'm all for Sets and Collections...but there really was nothing wrong with the way everything was prior to '23 and this felt like change for the sake of change.
Why not meet us in the middle and do something like this:
Any cards are eligible for any Season Reward Path or TA progress, however only currently in-season cards will attain the regular amount of TA points/XP. Any out of season cards will only gain 50% of normal TA points/XP. This still heavily suggests you use the current cards, while also not forcing you to do so...but at a cost of slower progress.

S1 and S2 are eligible for the first S3 TAIs that right? Maybe I missed that. I thought they were still only available via Wild Cards.

You have to use the wild card on set 1 and set 2 but able to get progress in season 3

Never played the innings format but I've heard a lot of it and id like to try it as well.

Really like that idea. Why practice and try to get better with cards and swings you like at this point? I'm totally fine with an xp penalty or something to TA on out of season cards. Better than all out removal for sure

This game to me is very therapeutic, it teaches me not to get angry at the little things and take a deep breath when everything is going wrong and not let it get to me . It allows me to be ZEN when my opponent is clobbering me or when the game mechanics are flat out screwing me .

Ill be using my set 1 and set 2 cards in mini seasons as they have said those will give TA progress so no, ill not be using 85s and live series

Yeah cause a game 6 months from release needs to feel fresh again or else it will fail. Solid game.Can't wait to get my [censored] smacked left and right for a month just to get two cards I use for only a couple days then replaced with cards I never wanted but have to use to remain hardly competitive.
Can't wait to play against children who spend day in and day out hitting xp caps with full P5 Mookie, Ohtani, Trout, Ruth, and Judge. Sure excited to use my oh so broken and over powered captain buffs, you know the Jeter one that's boosts your 87s to a whopping 89 at max T3!! Weeewweee captains are broken!

Yeah, cause playing a baseball game against computers who cant even throw you a ball 4 as it's programed to avoid walks every day with the same repetitive nature is suuuuupppper exciting. Just like 2001 all over again before high speed internet. Riveting.
I play the game cause at its roots and core design it's amazing and baseball is amazing.

Every creative direction taken is a direction into the trash can. The amount of defenses offered to this game is absolutely ridiculous. Never have I seen a more blind and gaslighting like treatment on behalf of a developer.
No serious gamers play this game. Only devoted baseball or sports fans so of course you'll never see improvements and focus on this games engine or mechanics. 25 probably won't even be next gen ready. SDS probably has like 1-2 game developers and the rest are just there to fill a payroll slot.
It's 2024 and were are using a sets and seasons method for a $70 deck building game that rotates out your cards for the exact same ones with a different number on it. Stupidity.
I'm not sure what's funnier...the amount of crying in this post or how much of it is just plain incorrect. Let's call it a tie I guess.

I would call it a tie but the amount of stuff he's lying about is hilarious because obviously he didn't read the blog post but also don't know why he's complaining because he's said before multiple times that he only plays ranked CO-OP and last I checked you can use all cards there
