New All Star program- no new cards Big L

I’ll start by saying that the content this week has been the best it’s been all year. Which makes today’s program rather disappointing. Every year the All Star program has new rewards and there are many players that could have been added here. It doesn’t have to be current all stars. It’s obvious this game has leaned away from legends but this would have been a great opportunity to add a few good ones.
Instead it’s just packs! What a bummer.
Again, I do think the content this week until today has been solid and I’m not the typical “nothing makes me happy” type with this game. It just seems like a big missed opportunity.

Yeah i was hoping for at least 100 point program with a handful of cards and the choice pack at the end. Instead we get Liam Hendricks, Braden Montgomery and a pack. The 30K in xp is nice though i suppose. But i really would have been pissed if i grinded the conquest 4 times just to see 2 of those same packs in the program.

yeah its unfortunate because the rest of the week was so good.
The two conquest packs should have been, imo, a base choice and a mid choice. This guarantees everyone their favorite player
And at the very least drop Strahm, Hoffman, Finnegan, munoz and Holmes because relievers are always in absurdly short supply for the number of slots we need to fill with them
But the new conquest is a win, and the program goals are varied

Wow, people were spoiled in less than a week. I am fine with the content in the program. 2 Draft packs is two less times I have to run that conquest if I want all of the cards.
A guaranteed rare round will currently save me a minimum of 50K, or more likely it will give me a rare round card I never would have had otherwise.
Now if you want to talk about this program being an L then talk about the fact that none of the Stat or PXP missions show as repeatable which means you can only get to 95 points playing offline. You need one of the two Event missions to reach 100.
I have to believe that is an oversight and that they will make the 2000 PXP mission repeatable.

I guess it just feels a bit thrown together. The last Severn years there have been solid new rewards but like I said, overall, I think they did a really good job with content this week. Just would have liked to see them end on a high note

Its just a little weird that offliners finally have cards to grind for, but then they reverse that the next day. So overall the draft conquest is a win, but its definitely much less of a win now that it was yesterday. I was hopeful for the future direction yesterday, but now I am confused. I suspect they did a knee [censored] reaction to complaints about "too much offline grinding" when they dont give a [censored] about too much online grinding and have worked to increase that throughout the year. But at the same time we are finally getting a new mini season so we'll see.
my biggest issue though is that the hendricks card is silly when there are FIVE all star relievers not yet released. I would love to fill a team with all 2024 all stars but they didnt even release enough relievers to do that.
However its possible these cards are still coming to fix the reliever issue.
And overall the week has been a huge win. I even bought stubs to show support for things moving in the right direction. I get that the flurry of content aligns with actual events, but I like how they have handled the packs, collection, bonus showdown card, repeatable conquest, etc. but its fair to call this program disappointing. The routine was great but they didnt quite stick the landing.

Hahahah, just did the moment for Yates, struck out 2 in a row, gave up a home run to Will Smith and then got a fly out.... passed the moment..... but what about the home run SDS?

I think the idea is that you're getting 9 cards, including a 96, 97, and 99. Yes you can get 7 of those elsewhere, I don't know about you but I was not looking forward to doing that conquest map 4 times. Of the 15 packs (as, hrd, draft) I pulled 1 rare and 2 mid. Kept Trea and sold Witt and JRam. This gives me the chance to skip 20 conquest games and saves 100K stubs for Duran. Add those to the Jackson Holliday and Wyatt Langford cards added to S2 collection and, I feel, today was a good cherry after a fun week.
I'm still disappointed in the lack of equipment for RTTS, but RTTS out of DD. I loved the catchers gear and gloves we'd get from the AS conquest. Instead we got 20 bats we'll never equip and 2 socks we'll never see again.

I would have much rather had a Draft Pack, HRD Pack and AS game pack than 2 of the Draft Conquest Maps. Yeah, it's two less runs of the conquest map, but we could've gotten those at our own pace. Having those other packs would have either given us another shot at those Mid/Rare Rounds or at least lowered their prices on the Market.

I can 100% sympathize with this. Just kinda goes with how out of touch SDS is with their own game right now.

The big L is/are those that fly through content, like: "Gobble, gobble. Need players to get 99 Skenes! Gotta hurry!!! I need to be 1/1 or first to P5 him. Hurry & simulate, you dirty hexagons! Pass the salt!"
Lol, I'm glad I just did the map once. Will need to 1 more time, but the game is fun again, so why not? -

I dont understand why SDS is afraid to treat offline players better.
Give them 12 unique cards (compares to the 20+ online gets every month).
And then the next day reverse that and say 'you know what, we will give every one 6 of these'I suspect its because of elitists that feel they deserve better rewards because they play online. Those assholes should never be listened to, but they tend to have loud voices. And The Show has largely treated its offline players like dirt this year. And every time it looks like they may be reversing course they quickly pull back.
There is still a new miniseason coming though, hopefully they treat it like last year and give some sellable cards this time. That way the cards are available to all, in much the same way online cards are available. The miniseason should also hopefully have at least as much exp as the ranked season track does because there is a massive gap there still

I can say I’m not that guy. I still haven’t finished TA 2.1. I just got Clase. I play this game less this year than I ever have, mainly because the content has been lacking.
Again, perhaps the Big L was an exaggeration. The rest of the All Star content has been great.
But it’s like having a great fight card and then the last match is like a 30 second KO. Very anticlimactic
