The strategy most used,in real baseball and by the CPU( probably players too,but I don't know about that) is hard in soft away(usually sliders)increasing in popularity in mlb is high velo fastballs up,but the guys that can do that typically can do it to everyone.
I go by the pitcher(I only face CPU so it's easier) if they are cutter/slider I look and and wait for a front door that they catch too much plate with, if I see it going away I ignore it off the plate and try to get the ones that back up and dont make it outside. for fastball guys I sit middle(mid up center mid down)and wait for a miss that was supposed to be on the corner but didn't make it.
Hope this helps. -
Yordan Alverez lol. Never fails

For me, it's knuckleball pitchers like Matt Waldron. In "All-Star Baseball" games and early "The Show Games," Tim Wakefield would screw me up so bad that I would lose to him, and then lose the next game to a "normal," pitcher because my batting mechanics were so out of sync. This happened against human opponents and the CPU. As for any advice I would give to anyone who has lefty-lefty issues try to avoid swinging at any pitches outside and away, and make him or her throw you a strike. Lastly, if all else fails, find lefty batters, like, Paul O'Neill of the Yankees, or the aforementioned Alvarez of the Astros, who hit lefties well.

@jaychvz_XBL There is only one advice: Go to custom practice, pick a hard throwing lefty … Do this for X minutes Y times a week …

Same as hitting righties. Wait for a good pitch and put pci on it and swing with good timing.

See ball, hit ball

Look middle-in to low-in. That is all.

Try to swing when the ball is in the zone and crossing the plate. Try to make it so the barrel is in the green when contact is made.

I don't see why some people have issues with left or right. I understand card attributes will differ and can have an effect but as for playing the game against left or right idk what makes a difference.
I look at the pitchers face and torso as he throws and follow the ball in best I can. Batting lefty though definitely feels better than righty to me in general. Think it's a common feeling since you use your right thumb to swing and the brain expects a swap between the two sides.
