New Patch Update

I'm finding hitting a little harder since the patch of the foul balls. I'm still struggling to understand why people complained about foul balls when that's literally part of the game. Watching a real mlb game you can have 8-10 foul balls during 1 at bat
Never really had an issue with the foul balls, other than a mini seasons or conquest game where you're at 14 pitches before the 2nd batter gets up. As far as everyone elses complaints about it, its 2024...people want instant results. I feel like a good portion of the people in these forums dont even like baseball which is why they fight so hard to change every aspect of it. This game is just something to play til something "better" comes out.

Actually it's 2 strike foul balls, everyone likes(or doesn't care) if it's fouled with no or 1 strike.
-
@sbchamps17_NSW that is not the norm though

cairo batter eye was the worst , i complained about it early on , not a single reply
I was with you in spirit...

Ya they didn’t fix anything still a ton of fouls balls and too many hits on bad swings
-
@VioletNine9_XBL lol this is so true
-
since I've started playing this morning I've had 9 base runners just randomly stop in the base paths. Has anyone else had this problem. Thanks
-
timing window seems way off
-
@Simple-Jack3998_XBL
Yep, that and check swings.... This is probably why they are reluctant to make "gameplay adjustments". Seems like every time they address something, something else gets broken. -
@Simple-Jack3998_XBL
My guess is that by addressing the foul ball issue, they tinkered with the outer PCI, and that affects timing windows. This may be why the windows are less forgiving. I use Zone, but I imagine that those that use Directional and Timing Hitting are having an even more difficult time hitting (since those methods have shorter timing windows anyway). -
@xElRojo44x-_MLBTS I just played a few online games in all-star mode. 102's look completely different than season 1. Inside sinkers to righties come in a lot quicker than a cutter at the same speed. 93's are leaving the yard at Wrigley while 96's with Babe is a fly ball to the warning track down the line. Nothing is making sense. I think i'm done for the year now. Might play a game or 2 until NCAA comes out next month.

@Simple-Jack3998_XBL yes, and every contact is the same on every input #not

Ok so yesterday in a MS game my runner on third randomly retreated back to the bag on a base hit to centre. I had to manually send him home but by the time I did that he was out by about 4 feet. That's the sort of nonsense I've dealt with since the update yesterday

Similar thing happened to me in an event game during the last night of S1. Base hit to RF, runner on first went back to 1st, I had to hit advance button about four times before he'd run to second which at that point he had no chance of making it.

@YOSHI24_XBL yes, I understand launch angles. When your LA is 30 and 96 off the bat, it should be a homerun when 93 is as well. No matter what the launch angle is for the other homerun. You think I wouldn't have typed that if I didn't know what I was talking about? It's a glaring issue that's been untouched since they added that feature in the game.
-
And this is why they don't touch gameplay
-
@Simple-Jack3998_XBL no, you are not getting everything. Launch angle and exit velos are not every parameter of the output you get. It is also the input on pitching, pitch placement and many more
-
For those of you having “stopped base runners”, do you let the CPU handle baserunning decisions?
I let the CPU handle my baserunning and the issues with stopped baserunners has been prevalent all year. Submitted numerous bug tickets to SDS on this.
-
I let the CPU control mine and I don't have a problem, the only problem is them getting thrown out multiple times but I try to then take over before that actually happens
-
Ive had it happen a handful of times....usually when im not paying attention. I'll hit a deep fly to R/CF and i know off the bat its an out, ill turn and grab a drink or something and next thing i know, im getting thrown out at first.
