Also remember that, if I read the blog right, if you don't have all five done you won't have a wild card spot at the outset. You'll need to do a little grinding to make up for the missing XP boost provided by those missing head start tasks.
In the past did they give varying XP boosts for the tasks? Since the Recap program was such a breeze and the collection such a long haul I wonder if the biggest boost will come from the Collection. If so then I am screwed.

@Dolenz64_XBL On the Dev blog or whatever is on the homepage it actually shows the XP amount earned next to each task needed for head start. I believe the total that could be earned is 350K.

If the program is anywhere close to 1.75M like Season 1 was, then a 350K head start isn't unreasonable.
PS: I hope "Completing the Egg Program" means getting to Yelich, not getting the Golden Egg.

Season 1 Recap 150 XP
Egg Hunt 100 XPNow that is either 350K or 350 so I will error on the first.

Yelich is 90 pts. You’ll have to do it, just two doubles and quit. This is the perfect event to do it, go for it!

XP is number of stars needed to qualify I think.
So you need all 100 stars in egg Hunt and all 150 in recap

Go and read the „DEV Blog: Prepare for Season 2“. It states „ if you complete all five of them together, you will earn enough progress to unlock the first 10 levels of the Season 2 XP Reward path, including your first Wild Card slot!“ (https://theshow.com/news/dev-blog-prepare-for-season-2-in-mlb-the-show-24/)
The first 10 Levels of the Season 1 XP reward path was reached at 65K XP.

@SaveFarris_PSN I think you have to get the egg. Thankfully the last thing I needed for that program was getting a stolen base in a ranked seasons game which isn't too difficult.

I didn't finish the Egg hunt. Well see how much of a jump start I get. Hopefully, double XP will be kind.

I didn't finish the Egg Hunt either.
But you'll be way ahead of me; aa the earliest I'll be able ro play couls be until the beginning of July

Also remember that last year if you were on the game when they dropped the content some people didn't get the headstart XP/packs.
So I would wait til the content drops then start the game. -
