Or is the majority of the people playing online the ones with a 'win at any cost' attitude?

Out of my last 8 online games I've faced someone that has done one, if not all, of the following:

    • holding R2 after EVERY pitch
    • bunt dancing
    • throwing in the dirt
    • quick pausing, when pitching, after EVERY pitch
    • bunting with speed runners
    • taking extra steps with speed runners so you waste your two step offs
    • plays in the pouring rain

I'd just like, won or lose, to play an H2H gsbw where skill decides the outcome of the game.

It's almost like there's a dev team that could take care of these things....
I mean your complaint is what? "Why are people allowed to do things I don't like?"
Why don't you just stop playing if it's that bad?

Online H2H in my experience has always been against win at all cost people. It's why I stopped playing online.

@X-FREEZE-OFF-X and this is why I stop playing online was because of all of this. Why should I come home from work busting my a$$ all day and deal with all of this bs. I just want to play straight up baseball. Hell the cpu has more respect for me than players online do.

    @AdeptOfMemory that’s pretty much what I’ve done sir. If I don’t like the pitcher I’m facing…..I quit.

This isn’t a show issue, It’s a humanity issue. You’ll find this same type of “win at any cost” thing across all activities & walks of life. Long story short - It’s not the show, It’s mankind.

Throwing in the dirt is very much baseball and it’s very much baseball to have a good eye and take those pitches and make your opponent throw strikes

If you’re swinging at balls in the dirt then I’m throwing balls in the dirt… and that’s baseball

I wish I could throw in the dirt. I stopped trying to throw low out of zone because they end up in zone for home runs way too often

Not really you can’t throw 80% of your pitches for balls in real life your confidence should go down for excessive balls imo

@VioletNine9 any ball where a batter swings and misses is a strike doesn’t matter where it’s thrown

I just played a clown at his created stadium with max elevation. He let all the animations run, bunt danced, R2d me and replay his 90mph EV homeruns… He was beating me 1-6 but then the game decided he had enough runs off bad contact and started rewarding me… Dude dashboarded when I hit the homerun to take an 8-6 lead, it is so pathetic out there with these bums… BTW, his logo was offensive so I reported it, I hope he gets banned

@VioletNine9 you could throw 100% of your pitches out of the zone if someone is going to keep swinging at them. MLB pitchers throw pitches in the strike zone because most hitters will stop swinging if every pitch is out of the zone.

Unless you're Javier Baez and you'll just flail at every pitch that leaves a pitchers hand. Which is what most of the people who complain about pitches being thrown out of the strike zone do.

Why is throwing in the dirt bad? You don‘t have to swing.
And leading off the bases? Or playing in rain?

Occasional bunting is fine. I'll drop a drag bunt with Lou every now and then because that's what Lou should do. But if I show bunt once and whiff/foul I'm swinging rest of at bat.

I'll occasionally load up an opened dome in the rain

I dont understand bunt dancing. It seems to always be by people with questionable names or logos.
