Facing 4 SP in the same game
-
Everybody was complaining about the random 5 man. I thought it was great and now it shows even mire why it was better. This is so dumb facing Kluber and newhouser in the same game , every game .
-
I mean it's fine to have whatever SP you want...but why am I facing Kluber coming into the game in the 7th? Just stop allowing that.
-
They should only allow you to warm up your starters if the game goes to extra innings . That would be a decent fix IMO

I 100% agree. or ATLEAST like if they are not full energy, they should not be allowed into the game. For example... you can realistically pitch Kluber for 3 straight games, 3 innings each, and that seems to be equal to 1, 100 pitch outing.
I have my 5th starter as my "long reviler" and the other 4 starters I rotate in.
There should be NO WAY I should be facing Kluber for a 3 inning save situation when I am rating 750 LOL way too try hard
-
It's stupid! The way it was last year was fine imo. This only needed to be done for offline if you ask me. For grinding, checking out a card etc.
-
Being able to pick your starter is fine, they just need to get rid of being able to bring starters out of the bullpen.
-
Only allowing starters out of the bullpen if you use an opener could help the issue, but it might just create other problems at the same time.
-
Are these guys subbing them into the lineup? It's happened to me once, but I looked at my bullpen and couldn't do it.
-
Well with the Opener Strategy getting more and more popular it was just a matter of time SDS will let you sub in a SP.
I like the option to choose my SP but of course there are plenty of people exploiting that new feature. It sucks... but thats the nature of Online Games. People always looking for exploits.
There should be restrictions to that Feature.
e.g Only 1 SP Sub In per Game. Not after the 2nd or 3rd Inning. -
The random pitcher set up was a problem in TS18 because of the way missions were set up. When they added Moments in TS19 it became a non issue, I would just take a pitcher out of my rotation after he had a start. I like the fact we can choose a starter but people are using unrealistic strategies with the way it is set up.
-
You can solve this by having the game pick for you, but does it in sequential order, game 1 starter 1, game 2 starter 2 etc.

Hit R2 when you view your bullpen
-
That was 2ks problem they would allow starters to come in and pitch like in the 7th inn or 8th. And thats what killed the 2k franchise when it came to online play. I see the show going the same direction they will lose a good amount of there fan base.

Literally a pitcher in real life MLB AAA and below can’t warm up, pitch 40-50 pitches in a game and be ready to go 2 days later, in the playoffs the “ on 3 days rest “ is a huge factor every 7 game series, yet on this game kluber and company can pitch whenever the [censored] they want with no repercussions
-
The simple fix is to just not allow SP's out of the pen in 9-inning games. BR & events, don't care.
-
Wouldn’t you rather face a SP who has lower k/9 H/9? I’ve also noticed SPs aren’t as effective out of the pen
-
No the answer is if a SP starts a game he is eliminated from your selection ( SP or RP) for 2-3 games. This would eliminate kluber over and over. And make it where if a SP throws out the pen there is some sort of negative that would discourage abuse of this. Maybe a faster energy depletion per inning, I know this would hurt a need LR guy but it may be necessary to adjust the current meta
-
The real fix to this is pitcher energy. It needs to be depleted and restored at a rate conducive for these actions not to happen much. People should not be able to start Kluber every 2-3 games or continue to bring him from the pen. This needs tweaked badly. People do it real life. MadBum tore up the Royals in the 2014 World Series. Recovery energy needs to be slowed some.
