I refuse to play Mini Seasons
-
@PAinPA ok so im not crazy then. I keep seeing posts about being "forced" to watch every second of the game and i know i havent watched a thing unless i want to
-
Yeah, it’s definitely annoying; not “won’t play annoying “ to me, but I wanted to create a post asking if we could skip it; apparently not.
-
@Easy_Duhz_It_
So there are a number of them where yes if you press X, then it will skip it. However there are also a number of them where doing that won't work right away and you have to wait.
Yes, we're talking about a few seconds for some of these but number one, it adds up when you're doing it multiple times per game over the course of a full Mini Season plus with the potential to play multiple Mini Seasons and two, it's about what is available to us in other DD modes vs not in this one.

Honestly and someone can correct me if I am wrong with the XP cap this might be one of the ways to grind out XP and Packs -- IF you hit the cap and still want to grind -- might not see the XP from the games but the rewards might make up for it -- if lucky with packs
Since they said you get any reward including XP but was wondering if that included packs too
-
@blitz77tw 23 std packs and 1 BIAH in the TA Mini-Seasons. Takes 9 games (one of the missions is 25 IP with TA pitchers) and is repeatable.
-
The presentation is a bigger issue this year because of that flashy logo that pops up as you spam your button to skip through stuff.

I am having a blast playing Mini-Seasons.
Two things do need to fix, however, is the stat/awards leader format (with some minimum plate appearances or something). In addition, I should not have to face the other team's same Starting Pitcher two games in a row....they should also require rest.
-
The other team's starting pitcher is linked to your starting pitcher slot. Your #1 will get their #1. But if you switch your team around then it can happen.
But they really should build proper simulationa nd stat tracking, which would solve the SP issue as well if they simmed correctly.
The league leader in innings pitched shouldnt have a number that is 200 innings greater than the maximum regular innings in a season

It is much slower. I am struggling playing it after hitting the XP cap. Conquest, I can fly through, just pitch after pitch like it's nothing. Then Miniseasons you have to watch the ump hand the ball to the catcher, the batter back out and rub his bat barrel...it's all the mini actions that add up and are very very annoying. Even skipping ahead, we are talking 1 game = 2 or 3 games in conquest (depending on my whiffs of course)
-
Conquest is definitely slower because of playing risk inbetween games, but yes I enjoy playing the games more because its less button mashing. I dont steal as much in miniseasons because of statcast
