WBC Core cards.

I can see the cards from. The WBC program, since that's the only way to get them, being taken out of the game.
But for SDS to take out the WBC Core cards, from the BR Reward Path, seems, at least to me, to be a d#$k move.
Urias is already up to 333K; if you don't have him.
And chances are anyone that has him has already locked him in towards the Core Collection.
What sucks is that some people may not be able to get Annie's without forking over a couple hundred thousand in stubs.
IMO this is just the 'icing on the cake' for how bad this year's content was planned and distributed.

Well … it is either that or you did not understand what it said
They said, that WBC in DD will expire on 12/31/2023. They also stated, that any user items in inventories or on the marketplace will stay in place.
The last thing … to me … is pretty clear. You cannot get them, but you can buy/sell them.On the other hand: Who really needs them? The Core cards only work towards the core collection and (correct me if I am wrong) there a lot left to fill out the collection
It also states that any user items in inventories or on the marketplace will stay in place.

Annie the orphan or the Skywalker?
-
Why on earth would anyone want a WBC Urias card?
-
@BJDUBBYAH_PSN I think he’s under the impression you need those WBC cards to get Anakin Skywalker.

It's not like they had not put the information out there previously. Here is a PS Blog from March 8th. The very last line says
Note: World Baseball Classic playable content in Diamond Dynasty will expire on 12/31/2023. Earned items in user inventories and items on the Community Marketplace will not expire.
If the contract or license agreement had that date in it then there was nothing that they could do.

Yeah. I knew about the contract and such. I didn't think they would take put the BR cards as they were earnable in a Program. But I was wrong.
It's looking like if anything was earned in a program where the cards were labeled 'NS' they were kept in your binder because you earned them.
And it looks like any WBC card that could get bought was no longer available unless you paid for them.

@Dolenz That's cute and all, but do you expect someone who got the game on Christmas for XBOX to read some PlayStation blog from the spring? As of today, Jan. 2nd, 2024 SDS is still advertising WBC cards with MLB The Show 24.
Making content expire is bad business.

Zartan
I don't think I could pick Zartan out of a line-up. Even if he was next to John Cena and Sue Storm. (I double checked to make sure there wasn't a Zartan I didn't know. )

Do you think that someone buying the game at christmas is looking for a WBC Core Card (that is what this thread is about) that is earnable in some BR program?
Other than that: If you go into the program, the expiry date is listed pretty obvious.
And again: The program itself is not that awesome. You can have the good cards with some stubs. Lindor/Trout are way under 100K

They may not be looking for it for their squad; but they may have needed it to get Albies. Luckily, if my math is correct, even with the loss of 20+ Core WBC cards; you can still obtain Albied without having to buy an overpriced Diamond, Gold, or Silver player that would only be Collection fodder.
