Great Race of 98 Choice Pack
Am I the only one curious as to why we are getting pitchers in a program centered around the HR race of 98?

If SDS knows what they're doing, McGwire will be earned at 70 program points and Sosa will be earned at 66.
My disappointment is they could have done so much better with picking ancillary players.
Steve Trachsel (gave up McGwire #62)
Maddux (gave up Sosa #9 & 49)
Hershiser (gave up McGwire #28)They did get Rob Nenn (gave up McGwire #24, but that seems like a happy accident)

Yeah, I feel for the Royals fans but since this is the 98 season program it is appropriate

Yeah, I feel for the Royals fans but since this is the 98 season program it is appropriate
Still SDS could have chosen another pitcher to represent the Boston Red Sox o say Pedro Martinez

So we still haven't gotten a Griffey, Glavine, or Trevor Hoffman card for this series.
Griffey was in the race till Sosa and Big Mac left him behind, and still wound up with 56 homers. Glavine won the Cy Young with Hoffman finishing second, despite Hoffman having the most 1st place votes.

Lets be honest the vast majority of players never complete the live series collections.

It's awesome until people find out they either have to buy the packs or get the event rewards, once that happens there will be...... tears and anger.

Kerry Wood struck out 20 in a game that year. I assume that’s why his card is there.

Are they saying 1998 Shawn Green is his 99 card? Because a quick glance shows he had 4.0 WAR which isn’t even his best Blue Jays season by WAR. He had 6.4 in 1999. You’d assume overall card would correlate somewhat with WAR. I won’t even complain that 2001 was much better than either of those but it was.

It is, i was wrong lol, i'm glad i was. Both of those shouldn't be that expensive.
