Lol I just get second hand embarrassment from them tbh. It’s been bad all year, and anyone with a brain could see how pay to win the game was, see how ripped off the structure was from 2k. Tons of things to hate.
But omg Dolenz all time cards team build didn’t improve and I’m suppose to care? We should all collectively admit the game is bad NOW because some weird obscure team build just got diminished? But when you could just pull starters from the pen and never lose stamina for months no big deal?….omfg not the cardinals team build!!!!!!

Same people would still be collecting 8432 souvenirs if people didn’t complain everyday. None of them had an issue then, they were “great for flipping” and every other dumb excuse they could come up with lmao.

Grinding for inferior cards is a short term money grab .it makes you have to buy packs. Ok but in the long term it's not going to go over well.

Horrible business model imop.Personally I don’t like this set but I can’t see it as a money grab. At this point I’d be happy to buy the cards that I need to get to Mookie or foxx etc. trout is definitely a money thing but even the diamond duos haven’t necessarily been the best cards in the game. It has been the collection cards which in order to get to in a reasonable amount of time requires conquest, moments, march to October etc. I’m sitting on millions of stubs that are kind of worthless because you can’t buy the TA cards to get to the collection cards.

My wife said last night "I thought you were supposed to be starting a new series or something on your stupid game".
I said "I'm not even interested. And yes, now I consider it to be a "stupid game" too".
For one of the few times in the 25 years we've been married, I left her speechless. So, we just sat quietly with Netflix's "Quarterback" in the background and worked on a puzzle. That was way more satisfying than TA4. Finding a random piece and placing it perfectly? Just as good as a Perfect/Perfect.
BTW - if you haven't watched it, "Quarterback" is good. Even my wife likes it, so...
P.S. I'm sure someone at SDS is monitoring the game activity right now, and a red alert went up. "Why isn't arvcpa playing TA4? He always jumps right into the new content". They're probably using my MLBTS app to listen in on my conversations with my wife. "He's working on a JIGSAW PUZZLE??? Good Lord, what have we done with this "sets" thing?!?!".
Probably not. But I like to think that's what's happening.

After this pathetic set 4 drop…they may be heading down the BudLight path. I don’t think SDS can keep the doors open if they take a major hit with losing a big chunk of their player base.

This season seems like it should have been so easy. These cards don’t go away. They will be around for the rest of the game cycle.
This years content has been controversial for many. They could have released all of the ta cards they did but just made them over juiced 99 versions and most people would have been happy. People would have played out the game cycle mixing in and out of a bunch of juiced up cards until team affinity came out. I do think most of the collection cards are great but the cards leading up could have been great too. I’m not one of those people who is installing the game in protest and vow to never buy again but this just seems like such an easy win they let slip away.
On the other hand in fairness I have no idea what SDS has access to or is seeing. Maybe they are seeing usage numbers or revenue way above previous years and this is working for them.Many game developers are going to "Seasons". More money for them, boring AF for us. I am tired of doing the same thing over and over again for the same exact cards but with slightly different stats. I left after Season 2 and came back to look at the Programs and nothing has changed. Cards I already have but (mostly) but different versions. Same "quests" over and over and over. For me, this was the most boring year of them all.

Honestly I still don’t think the sets were a terrible idea, just the execution. In previous years I didn’t necessarily like waiting months for the really good cards. I think this would have been good if set one TAs were 96 with maybe a dozen or so 99s in other places in the game. Then set two TAs were 97s set 3 98s and now set 4 juiced up 99s. Then you roll into finest with tons of 99s. This way would have given some popular 99s early in the cycle but the 96 TAs would have still been usable and then as the cycles progressed the Team affinity cards get better.
I’m with you 100%! I hated waiting for the top tier cards. I remember last year Kwan went 5-5 in April and got an 84 gold Topps now card. So I was happy they changed it. But they still screwed it up.
