Funny thing is Lappe is a good national player ( we see him in the events with our team) , but there are so many kids that are much better that we face at the same age/select national tourneys. The majority of those kids just don’t play Little League.
There is a kid named Trent O”Malley who is 6’2, 215 and can throw 85 and hit a ball over 400 feet at 12 years old. It’s insane, (He would be the set 4 Ohtani )

I am not sure what to think about the new cards. It's fairly obvious with sets and seasons that they were going to need a lot more series to cover them all. Not a fan of the look of the cards themselves.
Snapshots will be the 30th card series in the game this year. I get that we would like them all to be more baseball oriented but seriously what new series is there to implement on the baseball side? I could see a Hall of Fame series but that is about it.
So we have complained about Kaiju, Incognito and now snapshots. That is only 10% of the actual number of card series implemented already.
I have no issue with the incognito or Kaiju at least they had the players in there jerseys and hats.
My issue with these are it has nothing to do with baseball it's all of field stuff. They have Sig Series, Award series just sitting there.
Or how about elevate the 2nd have heros series into something new I can easily pick 30 players for TA that have had a crazy 2nd half to put as TA new 2nd half impact series.
But no we get pictures of millionaires in outfits that even in pictures don't want to be in (cliff lee)
Man I am just so disappointed in this
Remember last year when they did away with TA (sort of) you had to walk me off the metaphorical ledge. I’d love to repay the favor but these are silly. Still, I’m excited for the actual content. I think we’ll see some pretty juiced cards.
I may be the only one but I liked the Kaiju cards. Not so much because of what they are but the art on some of them was amazing. David Wright and Corey Seager look savage. I also don’t mind the Incognito look just not the nicknames. I agree, I’d like to see the players in uniform.
So after a night to think about it I still hate these and will not support them
Now with that said I do think this maybe something from MLB and not totally SDS doing MLB may have had more of a say into this
If you look at yhe Instagram post for the reveal you can see that MLBlife is included as a collaborator basicly meaning that SDS allowing them to also post on their page.

Why are the included all of a sudden? Make me think that this is coming from MLB as something they want in the game as part of the agreement.
Again still think these cards are hot garbage and who ever idea this was I would really love to hear the thinking behind it and the explanation for why this helps the game grow over something like immortals, sig series, Award series.
MLB has trouble marketing players so if this is how they are doing it by removing players from their team colours and logos I'm not sure that gonna work.how they want it to

I mean, seems like all is fair in love and baseball here so why not? I’d like a Bruce Bochy card where he’s wrestling an Alligator.

Game developers get called out for "copy and pasting" their game every year. Therefore each year, annual game developers like SDS, feel pressure to change things up. Unfortunately, this is one of the ways they have done that.
There are plenty of other game modes, such as Franchise mode and RTTS, where they can improve their game, but DD is understandably their focu$. Having dinosaurs and sharp dressed men in DD are a noticable way to show everyone that they have (changed things up) for this year.
Personally, I am fine with having a similar game format each year, as long as they keep working at improving gameplay and getting as many legends as possible. I do not need dinosaurs or male model cards.

Look darling that's Latin (Snapshot Series) apparently SDS thinks they are educated. Now I really hate them.

I'll call them Snap-shyte unless they come of with some truly clever ones like Thor in a Thor outfit(If someone signs him), or Altuve in a tattoo parlor, or Mike Trout posing in the Orca, or Ronald Acuna Jr. at Yellowstone Park, since he loves yeller, or Goldschmidt in a Yarmulke, or Jeff McNeil in Central Park with some squirrels, or legends like Hideki Matsui in a Godzilla outfit, or Jeff Bagwell in a brown paper bag, since Chris Berman called him that.

One thing to remember for those continuing to play.....
From tomorrow on you won't have to worry about any new cards you earn becoming ineligible. Set 6 allows all cards so sets 4-6 will be valid the rest of the year.
