It kinda bums me out. If they aren’t excited about it, how are we supposed to be. I mean marketing 101, give people a reason to come back, this ain’t it.
Honestly I think they have really planned ahead to revamp the content roll out next year it's legitimately the only logical explanation I can think of

Oh yeah, this year for sure. But the last two years, they have had teasers, they’d announce whole divisions. I remember for TA 4 in 21 they started posting players like 10 days in advance. Last year, they’d give clues with silhouettes etc. That was way more fun and interactive.
This is either pure laziness or they really think it’ll make everyone want to watch the stream but I can’t stomach those anymore. The time it takes them to go around and ask, who are you going after? Or showing every players attributes along with all the “Let’s Go!!!!!” And set congratulatory clapping and laughing at things that aren’t funny- no thanks.
Oh no, I’ve become a cynic!!!
Maybe they are lazy like you say, but have you ever thought they might be preparing The Show 2024 next gen since the start of this year? It is something that takes time and you have seen that they dont do streams that much and have lots of new people

If that were only the case. They have cut and pasted this game pretty much since 18 only the pitch speeds have changed. They have a real chance to make this game great. Like if it were like 17 without the late is great. Unfortunately they have gone the Player Retention route so don't expect anything monumental in the future.

SDS has had weeks or more to plan for this and this is what they give us?.... i'm really confused now. Is this still a baseball game?
These may be some of the worst/laziest designed baseball cards (if you can even call them that) i've seen SDS put out.

That to me would be like planning a sequel to a movie before you finished filming the 1st one. It’s August, the best part of the baseball season hasn’t happened. If that is really what they do, then that would be a real shame. Why would I care about next year when we haven’t even gotten through the best part of this year. That would be like the Braves throwing in the towel right now and planning for 2024. But maybe SDS is the Padres and they know this season will Ana lost cause.
And I’m all for the programmers planning ahead but the social media team? That’s supposed to be real time marketing.
I’m not sure what to say about these cards. Are they trolling us at this point? It’s almost like they’re saying- careful what you wish for. Oy, never thought I’d see the day when I was down on this game but these cards look like my 2nd grade nephew pasted them together in his arts and crafts class

I am beyond disappointed in this, I have given SDS the benefit of the doubt ALOT but this is some of the worst content ever.
The card team has made Awards and Sig Series so beautiful this year and yet this Snap Shot series is what we go with?
MLB players off field not in uniform not one of these card will have a jersey or logo shown.
FFS Let's just call this the TMZ season or access Hollywood season, my God this is stupid. At this point give me back immortal cards and that grind because it's infinitely better and more rewarding then these.

I am not sure what to think about the new cards. It's fairly obvious with sets and seasons that they were going to need a lot more series to cover them all. Not a fan of the look of the cards themselves.
Snapshots will be the 30th card series in the game this year. I get that we would like them all to be more baseball oriented but seriously what new series is there to implement on the baseball side? I could see a Hall of Fame series but that is about it.
So we have complained about Kaiju, Incognito and now snapshots. That is only 10% of the actual number of card series implemented already.

Remember last year when they did away with TA (sort of) you had to walk me off the metaphorical ledge. I’d love to repay the favor but these are silly. Still, I’m excited for the actual content. I think we’ll see some pretty juiced cards.
I may be the only one but I liked the Kaiju cards. Not so much because of what they are but the art on some of them was amazing. David Wright and Corey Seager look savage. I also don’t mind the Incognito look just not the nicknames. I agree, I’d like to see the players in uniform.

Agreed completely, on the one hand you have the card art for Elly De La Cruz chase which is amazing on the other hand you have..... this.

These are absolutely terrible. What are the stats going to be based off of? Season? Career? A span of a few years? Next thing you know we’ll get a Billy Beane series for set 5.
