I’d imagine Harper and Wheeler get a bump soon. They’re back to playing like the back of their baseball cards. I wouldn’t be shocked if Harper got a POTM card too.
I’m sure every fan base thinks this way but I feel like Philadelphia is consistently underrated in these games. Hurts is only an 88 madden lol

You're right about that. Every body does think that their entire team or some subset of their favorite team is "hated" by SDS.
There is only so much they can do with live series. If Schwarber is going to hit under .200 then his contact is never going to be high enough to be a live series diamond.
But look at the flip side, SDS has given them 13 cards with a 99 overall rating. That is one less than the Yankees and is more than the Dodgers have. It is probably the second most 99s for a team in the whole game.
So you are going to have a hard time convincing me that SDS is undervaluing Philly players.

There was a guy last year that kept insisting that Chad Green deserved a Diamond Live card after a month and a half of being hot. He didn't and fizzled after that. Ended up he didn't even deserve the gold card he got. Didn't shut up until I pointed out Raisel Iglesias didn't get a Diamond until 3 months without an earned run. Streaks happen. Until they prove it's not a fluke, they'll stay lower. Although I do think Brandon Marsh is always underrated in this game.

Of the Cardinals eight 99 overall players this is the distribution by set
Set 1 - Five 99 Overall Players (Edmonds, Smith, Wainwright, Gibson, Walker)
Set 2 - Two 99 Overall Players (Musial and Nootbar)
Set 3 - One 99 Overall Player (Rosenthal)So you can see the decline as we get deeper into the year.
So the decline of the team based theme teams and the ignoring of teams like the Royals is not a good look. I know people will say that the Royals have not been that good and that is true but let's not pretend that the vast majority of 99 cards are not fantasy ratings anyway. Guys who just got drafted this year got 99 overall cards. Guys like Paul Skenes, who did not make it out of the first inning in his first AA start.

2nd most 99s and all but 2 are flashbacks, Rollins Howard and Schmidt haven't gotten a 99 yet ( and they will) Hamels either( though that's probably an outside chance,but they could).
As for LS, I think they are rated accurately (Marsh could maybe be a silver) Bohm and Stott have been upgraded, the others ....well they weren't good for awhile there and deserved the downgrades. -

27% of them are 99 vs only 22% of the Yankees cards.

27% of them are 99 vs only 22% of the Yankees cards.
So by ratio they actually have the most 99s lol. I would like to know the ratio on legend cards that we have gotten conpared to flashbacks, feels like way more flashbacks this year so far. I'll say it again i really want SDS to unleash the legends in set 4

That's easy. They have the rights to Brett, Perez, Moose, Hosmer, Greinke, Merrifield and I think Saberhagen. That's just the Royals I can think of. How about a little bit of variance. Trea Turner as a Nat instead of a Dodger or Philly. I'm happy we got a Hunter Renfroe Kaiju card but if the Sox or Brewers needed more cards I wouldn't be upset. I want a Moose card for my Angels, but a 99 Royals card would be appropriate, especially this time of year.
Yes, the Yankees are the most storied team in Baseball, but we shouldn't ignore the smaller market fans. 14 Yankee 99s to 1 Royal 99. 65 Yankee Diamonds to 30 Nat Diamonds. That's a huge difference. Arguably, the most storied team in the NL, the Cardinals, are at 8/51. That seems to be slightly above average. They started off the season with similar expectations. Shouldn't they be closer to the Yankees in numbers if it's about history.
Currently the Braves have the best winning percentages in the MLB at 65.6%. The Os are right behind them with 62.9%. If it's about winning then why do the Os have 6/46 when the Braves have 11/53?
When it's about market and popularity, the small guy gets the shaft. The easy answer is to use current players for former teams or the other way around. After a quick glance, I counted 3 Yankee Diamond cards (1 X 99, 2 X 97) that could have been Oakland A's. Instead the A's are 4/38. You could do that for every team. It's not hard and doesn't take long. I looked for maybe 10-15 seconds and found 3 for one team on one team. Spread the love...

They have 17 former players NIL rights on the Yankees and 3 on the Royals. If the Royals had a larger fanbase they’d probably get more of their former players rights. Trea Turner’s All Star card is from 2021 as a member of the Washington Nationals.

Yeah, it is unfortunate but SDS is always going to cater to teams with the largest fan bases, which is one of the reasons why the Yankees always have the most Diamonds every year. But, that does not mean you should ignore the smallest market teams.
There other issue is pacing. I have mentioned this before but the Cardinals got five 99 cards in set 1. They got two in set 2. They got one in set 3 and that was Trevor Rosenthal of all people. They are going backwards. Also of the diamonds the cardinal got in set 3 two of them were 90 overalls. Who wants to use a 90 overall in Sept? Not only are those two (matt Holliday and Masyn Winn) only 90 overall they are the only versions of those two players that are available as Cardinals.
I have a feeling the majority of teams are in the same boat. Front loaded in the first few Sets and have now reached a lull in the middle.

I was pleasantly surprised by how many cards the Tigers had for a theme team through set 2. In set 3 however they only got the cards every team gets (TA, ASG) so the theme team will be half LS at the start of set 4.
If theme teams are a focus as they've claimed then they have to release a ton of cards for every team, not just a select few.
Actually, if they intend to continue with sets/seasons, they need to expand the legend pool by a lot so you don't end up with a new Griffey, Trout, etc. every season. Hell, they're on pace for 7-8 Kyle Schwarbers by year's end which is nuts. Nobody wants that.
