Where's the hype for Set 3?

Here we are, about to lose the use of most of our Set 1 cards for the time being. WBC Trout, WBC Ohtani, Chipper, etc. I understand that SDS is trying something new with "Seasons".
But... We're less than 4 days away from the end of Set 1, and all SDS is hyping is "Double XP". How about getting me excited for some new cards? I know we'll get some new All Star cards and HRD, but what else?
I was hoping that SDS would be out there on Twitter (or even better, here on the Forum) selling us on the new content. Instead... crickets.I think most of you know that I'm an MLBTS fanboy. But man, it's hard to continue my enthusiasm.

That's a good point, I couldn't place my lack of enthusiasm for set 3 and them not even being on twitter about it is a big reason, I have no reason to get hyped, hello sds? Gimmie a reason please.

At this point I think sds knows they messed up and now they are just putting lipstick on a pig and trying to make do with what they got. They’ve already given us all these 99’s what the hell is left. Ok cool we are going to get a bunch of 97 homerun and all star cards and then a handful of 99 ones but they will be forgotten about in the sea of washed up 99’s. There is nothing left to grind for it’s the same process just new card art, I think they really screwed the pooch on this year. Great concept just very poor execution in my opinion!!!

To be fair, they have never started hyping anything or showing new cards until only a day or two ahead of the new program or content. Not sure why we would expect them to change that pattern now, especially on, what is for many, a long holiday weekend.

I see your point. However, they did put out a very lengthy post titled "How to prepare for Season 3". So, I probably did jump the gun a bit on my enthusiasm.

True. I'll calm down. I think I was expecting more since this year's set up is so different, but point taken.

Whats to hype? Same stuff coming. 5 99s coming via XP reward path. TA3 grind 97s incoming just like before. Nothing gonna be different bro. Same format. Just different names on the cards. Just like s1, and s2. The formula has been made

I agree. They have Topps Now, POTM, TA3 and Season 3 all happening Friday. I expect a lot of teasing and card previews happening starting tomorrow.

Dude, you nailed it. No content other than Topps Now for a long Holiday weekend and absolutely zero hype for the new season. I mean- we are getting 3 major programs at least with POTM, TA 3 and Season 3 and not a word. Kinda feels like they are not enthusiastic about their own game. And you know I’m a fanboy too. Well of course you do, I see you at all the meetings.
We should start the hype machine ourselves. Ok, I haven’t started a thread in a while. Here goes nothing-

Set 2 had a couple really barren patches for content that were eventually broken by cut & paste pxp programs. It was really phoned in.

They did one before Season 2 I think. I assume they will do one for season 3 as well. It will happen Friday if it happens so they still have a few days to announce it if they are going to do it.

The first tweet teasing the lightning player for POTM has been posted. Absolutely no information given but the are starting the hype for Friday.
