The game died early last year around August, and could be dead around the All Star game this year. When a company continues to not listen to their community this is what happens

Yea, game sucks. I would rather re-watch a 20 year old tv show than play people with their connections. Just isn't fun.
I despise offline play as it is very boring but it is better than the online play.

Season 3 is make or break for me. If it's more of the same - meh program rewards, best cards in packs - then I'm done for this year at least. I fully expect that's what will happen because they likely aren't going to course correct in the middle of the game's lifespan.

I dunno. I've had little trouble finding a RS or non DD ranked game.

Sure…Regs won’t die because that’s what most casual players play & there are alot more franchise & regs players than there are DD.

This year has largely been a dud, thanks to payout nerfs, no sell rewards, and overall halfassery of the game.
That being said maybe there’s some good stuff coming for the ASG update

Pretty dead for me. I am still playing RS and BR and trying to stay on top of Topps Now, because I do enjoy POTM. But I am not working any other programs and definitely not playing anywhere close to how much I have in the past. I had an in house SMB4 tournament with my boys last night and we had a blast. I try and play coop with my 10 year old, but we have a freeze off every game. Took one pitch last time we tried to play.

I am not a fan of all of the changes and may give up when I see how season 3 is, but I know that those who are dissatisfied with the game are far more likely to declare it dead prematurely. All any of us really have to support our positions is anecdotal evidence.

As far as anecdotal evidence goes the game was in the Top 10 on Xbox Live through August of last year. As of today the game currently stands at 37th on Xbox. Those are facts…

if the Programs in Season 3 continue to churn out log grinds for 92-97 players I will just quit. I'm going to give them a shot with Season 3 first

I’m going to wait until season 3 drops before I make any decisions on this game. I’ll say this though - If they go forward with rendering all set 1 cards useless except for the one WC spot then I’m out. There are several games coming out in July & August that I’m interested in & if SDS seriously is going to take away my cards & then expect me to grind again for the same player like some kind of hamster on a wheel - F that.

And I'd rather slide down a razor blade into a container of vinegar than listen to you continually p!ss and moan about connections every other day.
Yes I fall victim to it as well but my god man, find something else do spend your time on if you are not happy or stop buying a product you KNOW doesn't have ping based matchmaking.

The cards are not being removed. Just can't use them in RS as far as I know. You can still use core and live

I won't be out completely but I definitely won't be grinding for new cards. I'll use the 5M stubs I currently got and to buy what I want to use and when they run out, oh well.
I won't be playing next year if this is how its going to be to be honest. There's a happy medium between handing out cards for no effort and SDS making the show a job but this company can never seem to find it. The fact we grind for cards JUST for set content is a joke too. Alllllll these cards and most of them useless on our actual squads.

To me THIS IS removing them from the game. Anybody can hang 30 runs on the cpu on rookie with a team of bronze players…Online is where you need the good players - The players you are comfortable with & you spent the time grinding them to P5.

DD is the premiere online mode of MLBTS and specifically RS. If you take away Set 1 cards from RS, you have essentially removed them from the game...at least for a big portion of the population.
