Tough Pack Choice

So after completing the Fathers Day conquest map I got a Diamond Duos Choice pack. The 3 players to choose from were Matt Holliday, Jackson Holliday and Honus Wagner. I chose Matt Holliday, he seemed like the better overall player. I didn’t lock him in just in case I want to sell him later. So who would you choose?

I had a choice between the two Hollidays, and someone else. I went with Jackson Holliday. Left handed shortstop with contact, power, speed, and defense. I probably won't use him much, if at all, but he could be useful on a theme team. I don't recall liking Matt Holliday cards in the past, so I definitely wasn't going with him.

If I get the choice I don't know who I'd take between the two Holidays or the third option if I get them as my options... I guess I'd either go with whichever of the three sell for the most and would also have to factor in if I have one (or more) of the cards beforehand like I did with Sutton and McCovey. I ended up pulling McCovey from a "standard" Diamond Duo pack and then got the McCovey/Sutton round (I forgot who third option was) from Choice pack and since McCovey went for more stubs I picked him and sold him and then even though I could've got my Alvarez card I opted to purchase Sutton since I technically pulled him and figured I'd need him to grind Dodgers PXP as well as get a head start for when All-Star and Home Run Derby cards are needed when that program comes out for Season 3.
I guess right now (now that I think about it), I'd pick Future Stars Holiday with Future Stars program coming out next week.

That's the weakest 99 Honus card I've seen. Right now, I think he might sell for the most though. If it was to keep I'd go for Jackson. Looks like a solid 2B that could be useful for a few months.

Geez, you all got lucky. I had a choice of three 86 overall live series diamonds.

I already got the uniform choice right out of the conquest map so i know what jersey i'm going with when i reach that pack, i picked Matt Holliday the first time and he hasn't stopped hitting home runs for me since i got him

Btw that Wagner is a beast, i said it last night and i will say it again. If a player has a great swing (honus does) they don't need 90- 125 power, Honus Wagner aka the flying dutchman and Tim Raines (Rock) are great examples of that. That Wagner has 20+ home runs for me so far and great speed.

I love that Honus Wagner card. He has an amazing swing. The Flying Dutchman is a lock for me at 1st Base. Having that kind of speed at that position is huge. Way less double plays and instead of carrying a pinch runner like Incognito Bonny Witt Jr on your bench you can have Big Papi or Babe Ruth. Highly recommend that card.

Honus has always been a go to. I studied up on him because I enjoy his cards so much. Man had an incredible career. If Ichiro and Griffey were one person, it'd be Honus. I think there was a 95 or 97 Honus card a few years ago that had better stats, if I remember correctly. You are right, his swing is always nice.
My point was more the sell-ability of his card. For me, it would be more useful to sell his card and buy 4-6 other cards to finish set 2 before set 3 comes out. Currently 39 cards short. I'm kind of expecting Ohtani to be June Player of the Month and Trout to get a high end All Star card. I'd like to focus on that next month and I'm still missing Hank for the extra XP for Set 3.

O ok, my bad. Misunderstood your post, quite right.

I pulled Wagner and absolutely love the card, but then again I haven't used him in head-to-head... the performance in head-to-head is the final say in how good a card is but the fact that you can play him pretty much all over the field is a win in my book.
