The final point….the free program it’s 1 97 and a bunch of 95 and below. Or you could buy a pack and get one of the 99 holidays. Let me be clear it’s not pay to win. But it’s not grind 99, it’s pay 99

I am a big supporter of this game, I also play primarily offline so a lot of the things that bug people don’t tend to affect me. I do think it’s pretty obvious they are kinda making things up as they go right now.
-We have an other program that has 0 hype behind it coming out tomorrow.
-The online rewards have been very unfavorable the last month. I haven’t seen anyone really excited about guys like Minnie Minoso (great in real life, not so much in the game), Gerrit Cole, Andre Dawson etc.-They just added a 12-0 stipulation to an event and made the reward a 97 Kerry Wood which seems to have made twitter almost as mad as the fake 99 Griffey last year.
I’m just saying: I think this 99s from day 1 and overload of content now has them kinda throwing spaghetti the wall to see what will stick. I might be wrong. Oh well, just an observation. I can’t imagine how the rest of the year is gonna play out.

Yep- Kerry Wood 97 Kaiju. Not even a desirable reward unless your goal is to collect everything. That’s been mine the last two years and maybe as the game winds down in October/November I’ll think about it, but as of now there is no chance.
Depending if they come out with a 99 for him. But they're (SDS) is pretty much limiting him to people that can go 12-0 or people that want to buy him.
Is it replacing a LS 90+ Diamond or do they give them both?
Looks like they're gradually moving away from casual players. Add that in with me having to sit on 5-6 pitches before I can get a strike thrown by the CPU, if I miss on a borderline pitch, non-sellable Event, BR, and Ranked Program rewards, and that I'm going to be taking time off while I recovering from my surgery this Friday; I may not have any desire to come back.
I'm two cards away, Goldschmidt and Betts, from finishing the LS collection. Even though I have close 250K, it's not enough for both, and I can't force myself to just buy one now.
Hate to say it; but I may end up moving on to something else. Diablo looks decent. The new Jedi SW game looks good. Madden comes out in a few months, and WWE 2K23 should be on sale soon
Jedi survivor is incredible.

Did the Fathers Day Moments and saw the first moment was Matt Holiday and thought "Hey, I'll take me a Holiday card for my Cardinals Team"
Moment starts up and he walks up in a Rockie uniform. GrrrThen finished up Topps Now and decide to take a peak at the captain pack. "Hey, a 95 Arenado!"..... As a Rockie.
Congrats Colorado fans.
And to add to the side conversation. I have finished my first play through of Diablo 4 and really enjoyed it. I am also 4 games into a Franchise in SMB4 and trying to dial in the right Ego settings.

No Roger and Kody Clemens.
Not even an AL Leiter/Jack Leiter. There's no pitchers in the program.
The upside is no pitching Moments, although I like them. -

Completely agree. Game is amazing.
I'm glad it's there as I've had an incredible time playing it, but it's an indication of how terrible the show has become.
From dead market to boring programs of rewards that are sub par compared to what else is out to all the best rewards in packs to pathetic stubs and pack rewards and more, they finally have the gameplay in a great spot an opinion widely shared that it's among the best it's been,but with all that other stuff just takes all interest in playing it.
I used to leave games sit in my library each year cause I wouldn't touch another game till August or September, Jedi Survivor is the 5th other game I've played since the show launched.i certainly hope they don't continue this model next year. -
Been working on Topps Now today and have just skimmed the Father's Day requirements and it seems....not worth it. I'll probably get it done eventually but those cards aren't appealing. The only two good cards are Matt Holiday and son, and of course they're in packs.
About halfway through the campaign in Diablo 4 and that looks to get most of my attention the next 3 weeks. I don't anticipate much content in the Show for the rest of this season and that's fine. Most of it has been mailed in anyway.

SDS needs to be ashamed of themselves. Between Grind 97, buy 99 to the god-awful grind in programs like this, SDS has really taken this game a few steps backward this year.

Will we get new versions of those players? Will the Cardinals get a new team captain (or a new Wainwright card) for set 3? Will I spend countless time grinding a team affinity for 97 Tommy Edman just so he can be obsolete in July and then have to revert back to his live series card at that point?
How many will be disappointed when that awesome 99 Trea Turner WBC card can't be used in ranked after the all star break?
Sure they make it seem like you have options as you can have a single wild card where you can use a one player from a past set.
I have so many questions and concerns. If my fears come to pass then I could be frustrated and quit by my birthday (July 8th)
To answer my questions above about those specific players.
Only O'Neill has a better card that is Set 2.
Goldy has a lower rated Set 2 card.Wainwright, Arenado and Edman will all be forced to go back to live series if I want to continue to use them.
I also lose 99 Edmonds, Walker, Smith and Gibson.
In fairness the Goldy Set 2 card is a Captain card which with the exception of some are all 92s, and it boost Gold cards... I'm curious as to how those boost work when a Gold card gets supercharged.

Yeah, I understand that is more the normal rating for captains. I will use him most likely when the WBC Goldschmidt expires. His captain boost won't really help my Cardinals theme team though.

It'll help the Live Series Golds at least (maybe the Legend/Flashback golds too)... I'm not sure since I haven't had the opportunity to start a season to get that card yet, trying to get some seasons of Lefty Loosey in, just finished one and won the chip... gonna try to get the two All-Star or higher difficulty missions completed and hopefully complete the Mystery Mission and get whoever I didn't pick from the Booster pack that you get at 15 wins.
